soooo.... i might quit serving?

I’ve been in the industry for over a decade and I am quite burnt tf out. 

A few months ago, while I was tending bar, a patron and I struck up a conversation about sustainable farming and ethical environmental standards. He said he was impressed with my pov, confidence, and sales pitch (I mean.... of course, I was at work, I was absolutely trying to get him to buy a $28 heritage pork chop, lulz, don’t @ me) and he basically said I should come work with his team selling SOLAR ENERGY. 

Now, don’t get it twisted. I wasn’t being pitched to. This was casual AF. But I still gave him my e-mail because serving tables IS a Sales job, and I felt far better about pushing a product to actively HELP the environment rather than just sustain a pre-existing practice of commercial consumption. (the WASTE, man.... oh, geeze, the sheer WASTE... I cannot even anymore with some guests...) 

Point is, this was nearly 6 months ago... and he emailed me offering an interview yesterday! Gosh darn it, I think I’m looking at a career change. 

which is... really nerve wracking and exciting and holy shit I might actually do this omfg yikes but YAY?

October has awoken a new spirit of motivation in me

I went to the mall the other day,

This dude I went to school with I was once so cool with,

he getting pimped by the music biz,

In other words: He just kill to live.

Hit that dude with an awkward silence once was smart, graduated college—

nerd in school now he sellin’ us violence.
