Rewind... it's February 1996. New York radio station named "Hot 97" has given two underground deejays named "Stretch Armstrong" and "Bobbitto" a radio show. Around the 1:08 mark, they bring on a local duo named "The Originators" comprised of 2 respected yet relatively still unknown MCs named Jaz-O and Jay-Z.
They're on the show to promote a single from a hot artist they call "Fox Boogie" but is nationally known as "Foxy Brown".
After kicking some freestyles, the guy named Jay-Z mentions that he has a new solo album dropping in April called "Reasonable DOubt."
Good times.

Watson, the decision whisperer
At the rate you hear the words ‘big data’ and ‘analytics’ thrown around these days, you might think everyone was using them. And sadly you’d be wrong. In reality, most business folks leave insights out of their decisions because the tools to extract them are too complicated. Here’s a new name to drop. IBM Watson Analytics. Using natural language and a keyboard, anyone can go mining data for instant insights. Just ask your question and Watson can help guide you through answers. No fancy statistics degree required. this story is unreal... and yet, it's true.
Ronald Ritchie, the moron who claimed that John Crawford had a gun in a Beavercreek, Ohio WalMart and was terrorizing and threatening people now admits that he lied.
Seems that Crawford's family and friends were right—Crawford DID NOT HAVE A GUN. He was not threatening people. Instead, he was in the toy department on the phone with his girlfriend and unarmed when he was gunned down.
Check the Link for more. Ritchie changes his story multiple times. Here's one version he gives HERE and a different account HERE. And again, Ritchie is the ONLY person who said Crawford was armed and aiming a gun at people.
This Ritchie guy makes me sick! He should be charged for false witness and calling in a false crime and the police who killed Crawford should be charged with manslaughter. John Crawford would still be alive were it not for the "OMG, a Black Guy—kill him be fore he gets us!" mentality that Ritchie and the police had.
Check out STREETLIGHTS. Support em if you can. Stream/Download these gospels. It's great listening and really helpful. And as the pics say above, if you can, donate to [email protected]

Um... er... welp.
The New York Mongoloid problem is beyond calm mention. The city is befouled and accursed—I come away from it with a sense of having been tainted by contact, and long for some solvent of oblivion to wash it out! … How in Heaven’s name sensitive and self-respecting white men can continue to live in the stew of Asiatic filth which the region has become — with marks and reminders of the locust — plague on every hand—is absolutely beyond me. … There is here a grave and mighty problem beside which the negro problem is a jest—for in this case we have to deal not with childlike half-gorillas, but with yellow, soulless enemies whose repulsive carcasses house dangerous mental machines warped culturelessly in the single direction of material gain at any cost. I hope the end will be warfare … In New England we have our own local curses … in the form of simian Portuguese, unspeakable Southern Italians, and jabbering French-Canadians. Broadly speaking, our curse is Latin just as yours is Semitic-Mongoloid, the Mississippian’s African, the Pittsburgher’s Slavonic, the Arizonian’s Mexican, and the Californian’s Chino-Japanese.*
Letter from Lovecraft to Frank Belknap Long, August 21, 1926.
When, long ago, the gods created Earth In Jove’s fair image Man was shaped at birth. The beasts for lesser parts were next designed; Yet were they too remote from humankind. To fill the gap, and join the rest to Man, Th’Olympian host conceiv’d a clever plan. A beast they wrought, in semi-human figure, Filled it with vice, and called the thing a N*gger.
– H.P. Lovecraft, On the Creation of N*ggers (1912)
Republican Woman from Jasiri X dropped in 2010. Yet it still resonates today. Different names, same face. Same face, same story...
Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay and cost you more than you're willing to pay.

in 2013, Jasiri X and his producer Religion, dropped a really dope album called Ascension.
A protege of the seminal X-Clan and NOI, Jasiri mixes nationalism, black consciousness and his own brand of faith with bars upon bars upon bars... the brother can rhyme.
Ascension's been in rotation for me ever since it dropped early last year. Check it out RIGHT HERE.
