Hello Chinese is the best app to learn Mandarin imho
Actual screenshots, it's so good.
…something just happened
This is too damn true!!!!
sometimes, the hardest part of learning chinese is german. I have totally forgotten the grammatical gender of a Hat...
b2, everyone (,,・д・)
It's been a whole year, hard to even think about it!..
Still not where I would prefer to be in the study sence, but maybe it will change in 2026 x]
With their permission, I am sharing these screenshots of conversations I've had with the HelloChinese Team. Like I said above, this is as good a promise as anyone can get these days that something will, at least for now, be AI free.
I'm rather proud of myself for this!
My usual pattern is to get fervently obsessed, get really really into something, then burn out and lose interest.
I've been very carefully approaching Mandarin from the side, not making eye contact, trying to make it sustainable. And it's working!
My playlist has grown to include more than two songs, and its titled in 汉子 I typed out myself lol.
Learning a new language has been a fantastic puzzle to turn to when work is understimulating and my progress is already more than I thought I'd get to.
And the smile from the lady at the meat counter when i asked for yi bang zhu was pretty great!
Also just, there is no need for duolingo. Look for learning apps by languange. HelloChinese is a similar learning style, but theres no ai and its modeled on actual real life literacy standards.
