Fuji
So this week I said good bye to Canon as I sold the remainder of my Canon gear. A lot has happened in camera tech in the last 5 years and Canon, as good as they are, have failed to develop new ideas that inspire me.
I was happy with their lenses and their cameras do work fine but I was carrying around 7 kilos of gear. This was begining to limit my creativity as I avoided carrying the gear I needed and avoided long treks.
A camera needs to be a tool not an anchor. I appreciate my Canon journey and I don’t leave out of frustration. I turn to Fuji because they inspire me. They make me want to grab my camera and get amonst the peolple. They make cameras that feel, look & perform exceptionaly well.
So I say, thank you Canon. It’s been good. I hope you continue to develop your products and gauge the market a little better from here on.
