What I loved about the new chapter was the way it was colored! I think it had a more grey look?

Even more the last part with Kayden and Kartein healing Jiwoo together.

So realistically, how long is the “Jiwoo’s cat is his mentor in disguise” gimmick going to work before people start getting suspicious of how old he is? It could probably be argued that awakened animals have longer lifespans, but how long would people accept that excuse for?

I’m just imagining Jiwoo in his twenties still bringing the same fat cat to his matches and people desperately trying to figure out how the hell his cat is 20+ years old, especially since Casein Nitrate was already well into adulthood when Jiwoo found him.

Even better if it continues into his thirties. At that point people have to stop thinking “oh wow this cat has lived a really long time” and start thinking “okay what the hell is going on here”

And Then It Keeps Going

Jiwoo is forty. He’s made the top ten. That same goddamn cat is still sitting on the sidelines judging everyone at every match. Cain’s world has been shattered.

Imagine Jiwoo always thought his mentor was the one was seemed dominant and in charge when it comes to relationship. And not just relationships to be honest, ut was about everything. He always thought of things that way until the day, which happened to be today that he happened to see his mentor with his lover who happened to drop by in South Korea.

Imagine, Jiwoo does not even know they were his lover at first. That was until you picked him upunder his front legs and check if the cat form was a boy or a girl and and Jiwoo could already imagine you unconscious on the ground, dealt by a lightning- BUT NO- His mentor showed no reaction at all that it sink into him that there was something different. Not just that, just the was you cuddle to him like it was no one's business that it sink into him that perhaps, you were different. Different in another degree when it comes to his mentor.

"Here." Jiwoo watched as his mentor place a glass of water right in front of you before transforming back into his cat form, settling on the vacant space right beside you as you continue to do your works. "Thank you, I was just about to get up and get some water." You spoke a moment after, setting down your pen and proceeds to pet him. Jiwoo swear he could hear his mentor purr.

"Kai, can you accompany me on the mall? The thing I was looking for was there." You spoke as you emerged at the basement, the two- kayden and jiwoo was in the middle of a training while the other, pluton and kartien was watching by the side. "Focus!" Kayden shouted at jiwoo who was caught distracted by the new presence. He had thought for a moment that his mentor would agree with you but he seemed to have the training as his priority. Five minutes later his earlier thoughts were proven right. As Jiwoo slump into the ground, finished for the time being, Kayden transformed into his human form and started walking towards you who was still waiting at the end of the stairs. "Give me a moment, I'll change."

"- challenge us again when your grandson got strong-!!" SMACK "Sorry about that, He's a bit special." You utter as you drag the man by the back of his neck away from the top 10 also known as Veramonde and dump him with the rest of his gang. Jiwoo could only sweat drop as he watches Kayden rub the back of his neck with a frown on his face, mumbling something under his breath, a soft glare thrown at your direction in which you returned with a harsh one causing the other to back away. Jiwoo though he could get used to this.

"Do you ever get scared of him?" Jiwoo asked as the two- three of you were left in the house as you wait for the catastrophic event to pass. "Kai- you mean Kayden?" You asked, trying to confirm who he was talking about and then he nod. "I did, but that was a long, long time ago." You answer. "If you ask me now, rather than being scared. I think he's being pretty cute." You chuckle, and then you stood up. "I think they're here."

"I feel like even if I were to tell the whole world that with just one world I could make you kneel no one would believe me." "The world does not reserve to know about us." "I see the point." You chuckle, running your hand through his hair. "Your hair is so long." "Do you not like it?" "No, I love it." "I'll keep it as it is then."

Kayden's obsession stems primarily from his fear of losing you.

His overprotective tendencies and unhealthy ways of 'protecting' you are wrong, but Kayden doesn't fully realize it. He's used to living alone and doing as he pleases.

So when you come up from nowhere and offers him care and love (whether it's platonic or not) Kayden will be confused. Very confused. He might even try to push you off at first, thinking this is some trap or trick to make him fall.

But as time passes, Kayden finds himself reacting strangely to you and your presence without even realizing it..

For example, his heartbeat would race whenever you're near him or whenever you talk and yap to him.. He listens, but doesn't focus.

Or how he finds himself watching you intently.. Every step, every breath, little habits and almost everything about you.. Even during nights when you're unaware to his presence.

And the more time passes, the bolder he gets.

Kayden knows that if his enemies notice him getting closer to someone, to you, they will take advantage of it. That's why he think you should be under his watch whenever and wherever.

You'll feel watched sometimes even when you don't see him.

He will come to you and give you your favorite thing as a little gift while avoiding eye contact.

"Heard you like this kind of stuff, though I don't understand why.. But here it is anyway."

The way he avoids looking at you with that small downward of his lips as if he's trying to appear grumpy while doing something good with those reddened ears is really adorable.. But the thing is that you don't remember ever telling him that this kind was your favorite.. How did he knew? Maybe you just forgot that time when you told him..

Kayden will try to keep you away from the harsh reality of the awakened world, to protect you from the danger. Though when he does it, he doesn't show that he's doing it because he cares for you.. That's only at first though.

Kayden likes yapping to you about his daily fights, and how he knocked out that one and then that one, he will get even more eager if you share the same.. "Interests" as him. But he will find it utterly cute if you scold him for being so risky and might even tease you about it.

Kayden absolutely loves it when you tend his wounds after his fights. He might deny it at first, but he will melt under your touch after one minute.

He will start coming to you after every fight after that. Because he finally found his home..

But the longer you stay beside him.. The more you show him care, love, affection.. He will slowly get addicted to it.

His protection and want to keep you safe will pass the lines.. To the point that the person you talked to yesterday with a smile, will disappear without trace today.

Why?.. Because he saw them dangerous.

If you start dating with him, you will slowly get to know more about him.. The both sides.

Despite being the feared ranker in the world, Kayden's heart will melt when you touch him.. When you hold his hand. When you show him loving gestures.. His heart races, his cheeks flushes, and his pupils turns into a love shaped ones.

If you hold his hand, he will hold it tighter.. And if you try to leave his hand... He will hold it even tighter. Much tighter.

If you try to leave him, no.. If you even think about it, he will panic.

You can't leave him after you showed so much love.. You can't do that.. Not you. Not after you made him believe in love.

He might appear even pathetic at first.. But it will change really quickly if you insist.

"You will not leave me. Not now. Not ever."

He doesn't care what he has to do to keep you by his side... even if it means taking away your freedom or taking someone's life. He's doing it all for you.

But he's never mean or cruel to you.

But even so, it's really best not to even think about leaving him. (who will do that anyway?)

Kayden likes to leave his marks on you. Whether it's on your neck, shoulders or... Other "places".

Whenever he sees them, he can't hold back the smug grin on his face. He will point to them, and tease you about how you acted last night, even though he was not in a better state himself..

And if you try to cover or hide his marks, he will sulk. Yes, the great kayden break will sulk because he wants everyone to see them.

Kayden will try his best to not show you his obsession at first, to not make you afraid.. That's the last thing he wants.

But the more he gets obsessed with you, the more he wants to show you just how much he loves you.

You will never leave him. Not now. Not ever.
