But what’s with this ridiculous insinuation again, this time involving a motorcycle helmet? Do they know we’re paying attention? We’re keeping track of this lame excuse of a narrative, woman… Or maybe it’s not meant for us? Then who is it for??
Dear Motorcycle Helmet Anon,
Your question is rhetorical, of course. Judging by the Anons who repeatedly pleaded on her behalf in my DMs - and which I always posted and answered -, I think it's fair to suppose Madam Mao is probably at least updated of the entire fandom conversation. All factions of it, actually.
If not more.
The console gaming and cellphone print ad campaigns from the late 1990s and early 2000s heavily utilised a "sex sells" philosophy, with risqué humour and shock value on full display.
Tech and media brands leveraged innuendo and sexual tension to target a predominantly young male demographic, leaning into hypersexual, provocative, and body-horror imagery.
A lot of these advertising campaigns were selling identity and belonging, rebellion, sexual desire and aspiration just as much as the physical PlayStations and Motorola flip phones.
Drawing heavily on cinematic surrealism that was en vogue from directors like Chris Cunningham and David Cronenberg, these ads were dreamlike, uncanny, trashy, chaotic, and overtly erotic. Designed to be noticed in magazines like Loaded and FHM and on bus stop billboards in inner cities - they were indeed talked about and remembered by the teenagers of the Y2K era.
Today's polish is SO GORGEOUS. ♥️😍♥️ It has a pink base with pink to yellow to green shifting iridescent shimmer. The shimmer gives the polish an almost metallic finish and goes perfectly with the pink base. I absolutely loved watching the colors of the shimmer shift around on my nails. There has been absolutely no sun since putting this polish on but in the shade alone I think you can see how pretty this one is. Also, the inspiration for this polish was a pink Motorola Razr, which cracked me up. 😂 This is Hello Moto from Polished for Days.
My Bluetooth headphones say "Hello Moto" in a female voice when I turn them on and my automatic reaction is always to think "Hi bitch". After a while such meanness began to take its toll on my soul, so I started thinking "Hello my good friend" instead, but I've always suspected that somewhere beneath that well-rehearsed inner monologue response, a deeper part of my consciousness still thinks "Hi bitch". Well, this morning I was waiting for my number to come up at the bank when I heard "Hello Moto" and, without thinking, said "Hi bitch" out loud (like that, in English) (I do not live in an English-speaking country). I turned and saw that the words had come from the unspeakably loud headphones sitting on an old lady's lap and that, to my horror, she was looking straight at me with an expression I couldn't quite decipher. I felt like explaining to her and anyone else who might be overhearing that I'm actually a good person and always greet my headphones with "Hello my good friend", but why would she believe me? Why would she, when I didn't believe myself? That's when she opened her mouth and said: "I think she's a bitch too".
New Phone
I had to get a new phone, which it' a Moto 2025, I had to finally retire my Revvl4+ phone due to the battery being swollen by overcharging and heat exposure (I used the phone a lot during the summer.) to be honest, the Revvl4+ sucked bad.
I had concerns that Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete wouldn't worn and Papa Louie Pals had to be restarted from square one. Luckily my whole data was transferred 100% complete.
Luckily I'm allowed to save Papa Louie Pals photos via app, but unfortunately I have to remake Ally Kabam and Orion's expressions, since I had to save them via Google Photos with a shitty quality.
