Writing tips:
โYou feel the bulge in his pantsโ - implies that you are feeling some guyโs penis, may be sexy depending on context
โYou feel the bugle in his pantsโ - implies that this guy has a military horn in his pants, invites confusing questions like why does he have that and how big are his pockets
Both options convey that he's horny
How dare you be funnier than me on my own post
Today's polish went from a C tier indoors to an A tier in the sun and I think you can probably see why. ๐๐คฉ It has a lavender jelly base with regular holo glitter and square holo glitter. I'd been wanting to try a polish from this collection for a while, because I was intrigued by the square glitter, but the pastel colors weren't tempting me. I finally picked up this one during their last sale and I'm so glad I did cause it's maybe got the sparkliest formula I've seen from this maker. Indoors I wasn't loving it. It was thick and patchy even after three coats. I was almost ready to destash it until I went outside. ๐ฑ๐คฉ Yeah the sparkle is off the charts. Now I want more of these. I think they'd be fun to wear as a skittle. ๐ This is Lo-fi Lavender from Holo Taco.
Today's polish has one of my favorite finishes: a creme with a complementary shimmer. It has a slate blue base with a bright blue shimmer and was opaque in two coats. Indoors the base color looked more grey, but in the sun with the shimmer sparkling it looked way more blue. This is Misery is my Favorite Color from Mooncat.
Today's polish is unlike any other magnetic polish I own. ๐ It has a green to gold to orange shifting pastel multichrome base with a blue magnetic shimmer. The shift in the base color was really hard to capture on camera but you can see it best in the top right picture. I'm used to the magnetic pigment shifting not the base. So having that reversed here, as well as the combination of colors, made this one feel so unique. This is I Will Change Your Destiny from Bee's Knees Lacquer.
Butterfly Party 2026
The chance to make an anti-fascist butterfly? I am in.
I made this at a modern art gallery with old cardboard and off cuts of tissue paper. It was great fun. My 26 yo daughter also made one.
Here they are together. Thank for the idea and here's the og post from @julcheninred

Oops! My finger slipped and I made another one @julcheninred! This one was loosely inspired by Gustav Klimt. If you want to annoy a fascist too, please make and post the most colorful and outlandish butterfly art you can come up with! ๐ฆ

A "vulgar," "nefarious," "Marxist" butterfly collage in the style of Eric Carle for my dear @julcheninred.
[using art by Chagall, O'Keefe, Pollock, Kandinsky, Mondrian, Klimt, and Rothko]
Carle's picture books were a staple in our home when my kids were little, and I recently had the pleasure of gifting a couple of them to my newborn niece. Carle's art is timeless, beautiful, and distinctive (no matter what wannabe fascists think).
How did I do @julcheninred? Did I meet the brief? I was trying to channel Henri Matisse when I drew this. ๐๐ I'm usually so exacting when I make something that drawing in a loose style like this felt really freeing.
If you see this and feel like joining in, grab some markers or a crappy drawing app on your phone (like I did! ๐) and make some outrageously garish, perfectly imperfect, and beautiful butterfly art! ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ
Jules's Carle Butterfly Art Mini-Fest
So. Yโall hear about the childrenโs book illustrator who spent last week fulminating against Eric Carle?
You will not be surprised that she has fashy opinions about art. She is absolutely incensed that Carle's books are enduringly popular, which she says is only because they're foisted upon us by "an insalubrious culture." She says Carle's work is objectively ugly and bad, and that children exposed to bad art will grow to be bad people who lack morality, thinking skills, and the ability to perceive true beauty in the world. Yea, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth, and invective like "deformity," "chaos," "vulgarity," "indoctrination," and "disease." She further deplores Klimt, Pollock, all of modern art, the Bauhaus art movement, gay marriage, and Crayola (for making children's art products with unnaturally vivid colors). She blames it all on "Marxists," of course. She used the R word and a racial slur, of course. Since I am the patron saint of so-called bad art on Tumblr, and I'm delighted to help annoy fascists, I'm here to throw a little party to celebrate Carle's brightly-colored, asymmetrical, disproportionate, "nefarious" butterfly. Grab the nearest box of outrageous Crayolas and make an extravagantly, riotously shaped and colored butterfly. Tag your post #butterflyparty2026 . Tag me, @julcheninred, in the body of your post so I donโt miss it. Tag your pals so they'll jump in. Looking forward to seeing everyone's magnificent butterflies! ๐ฆ๐น
Heated Rivalry set the bar for on screen sex way too high now I'm disappointed every time I watch any sex scene and the people involved don't look like they're fucking in real time right in front of my salad.
The other day i bought this yarn cause thatโs obviously the trans flag, and I just saw that this colour is called โlifeโ! Iโm gonna cry
Today's polish is a spectacular red. โฅ๏ธ๐คฉโฅ๏ธ It has a red jelly base with silver reflective glitter and iridescent flakes that shift from pink to red. This red is so incredibly saturated and so twinkly from the reflective glitter. And because the flakes were so close in color to the base, they added a depth and richness that kept my eyes glued to my nails as they shifted colors. This is Freedom of Speech from Lurid Lacquer.

These polishes look SO FREAKING COOL next to each other like this!!! ๐ฑ๐คฏ๐
Today's polish is one of the prettiest purples I own. It has a violet base with a purple to pink to red to orange shifting shimmer. I've had problems in the past with purples like this bleeding into the topcoat, but I didn't seem to have that issue with this one. As a result this immediately jumped to the top of my purples list. ๐๐ It had a fantastic formula and was completely opaque in two coats. My only regret is not being able to get a picture of this one in the sun. This is Keep the Change, Ya Filthy Animal from Great Lakes Lacquer.
