Gru was nervous.
He didn’t know why this tension had built up inside of him and his head, but something told him, that today was the day…
His soulmate…
He wouldn’t know why this was something so special to him, except just another human in another world with another name and whatnot. But he had heard about people with soulmates…they would stay together for the rest of their lives.
Would he even be ready to go this way? To spend his life with somebody, he had never met before? Suddenly, he lifted his glance at a young, blonde girl, who seemed to have dropped something near him. Out of manners, he bowed down and took the purse, but something knocked his forehead and as he opened his eyes again, he saw her close, apparently she had had the same idea like him, picking up her purse.Â
And suddenly…
"You’re him! You’re really…him!"
Gru looked at her and blinked in confusion. “It’s…uh…?” he asked. “It’s me…?” Then he had the idea to pull up his sleeve and to look at his own wrist. zero.
His eyes stared back at her. “Oh…” he managed to say. “Oh, eh—I mean…are yu a’right?”Â
It appeared that he'd forgotten.. Or at least for a short time he had. Though she herself found it difficult to forget something like that.
To forget something so special as meeting the love of your life.. It must have been .. shocking, to say the least.
"I'm.. alright. Yes. Just a little bump is all. I'm sure it will go away in a few hours." he felt like a soul mate should. Familiar, like she'd known him all her life.
"----What about you?" she was, of course, referring to the same bump on his own noggin.
