Adrien had been attending class, as usual, when he heard a rather loud noise outside. His head lifted from the table, eyes glancing out at the window. He tilted his head at seeing a fight commencing outside, green eyes watching the two for a moment. HIs mind had been so glazed over, he didn’t notice the majority of the class was already gone, watching the fight. Standing, adrenaline rushed through his veins. He turned and ran into the bathroom, lifting his jacket a bit. “Plagg, Claws out!” He called out, and after his quick transformation, he ran out towards the fight, sliding to be inbetween the two. Raising two clawed hands, he caught each of their fists, a small smirk on her lips. “Tsk tsk tsk. Fighting on school grounds is prohibited. Don’t you two know that?”

“... fair enough. So long as you didn’t kill him, and don’t tell Ichi-nii,” she said. Didn’t she dislike Skylar? Absolutely. Unfortunately, injuries were some visual stimulus that triggered a part of her that gave her very mixed feelings.

The frustration and the helplessness in which her bones and flesh imprisoned her, like she unclipped the leash from a toothy beast.

“Just tell him you took one of my balls to the face.” It was believable. Her strength was almost inhuman. “And, of course, if you haven’t already, get checked for a concussion.”

Allowing her to pull him close, Ichigo rested his head softy against her chest as she held him tightly. She was shaking. He was too. He wrapped his arms around her in return. Another nightmare of that night. Another wave of guilt. Another night of self loathing as the two of them watched each other self destruct before their very eyes. This was the routine they went though, night after night, but even if they had nothing else--- not even their sanity or sense of self--- at least they had each other.

His fingers traced along her spine, up and down, up and down. Occasionally they paused over the place where the hole would sometimes appear and he would brush his lips over that place on her collarbone. It was closed now and for that he was grateful.
