Hey! I heard you got Twitter banned for a bit :(

I did! For the next 11 hours or so, anyway. All because I told a batshit Coulson/Philinda stan to not make a tweet from Clark clarifying something about FS all about them, and they got major ragingly butthurt and deactivated their entire account???

(for context, Clark was clarifying that an article that stated he’d said the team doesn’t find Fitz until 6B was a misquote. This person replied to him and said “yes, FS fans get relief while Coulson fans have to live in pain for the entire season (as if season 5 wasn’t bad enough)” and I was like dude, don’t make this about you when it has nothing to do with you???)

Twitter fandom is really weird. There is a very, very deep divide between FS shippers and Philinda shippers and they are almost constantly fighting. Philinda shippers seem to believe that FS fans get everything handed to them on a silver platter while they suffer alone, ignored and unloved, and it’s made them super bitter and defensive. Add into this a certain sect of Coulson fans who constantly harass the cast/crew/any journalist who mentions the show that they better get the real Coulson back or else, and it makes for a very volatile environment. I try my best to stay out of it, but I’m not always successful.

Anyway, it was that portion of Coulson fandom that got me put in Twitter jail and I could do a whole other post about how they’re pretty much the worst bunch of people on fandom Twitter, but I won’t. Don’t get me wrong; there are plenty of good, decent Coulson and Philinda fans out there and I like them. There’s just that one bunch of them on Twitter that are really loud, obnoxious, petty, and awful, and they’ve pretty much ruined any love I had for the ship.

I knew full well what was gonna happen, I new all the shit - hell, that trailer had a song called ‘Hurt’ in it. Why oh why did I let myself be deceived for a minute that this movie wouldn’t burn the remains of my heart to crisp?

It was a rough night!  Hopefully I get to sleep in a lot this weekend, because I can’t see any progress with the teeth, and it usually takes 3-4 days for kiddo to get past the painful bit.

And because that was enough, my phone just managed to get a major manufacturer defect.  Set up on the replacement seems to be taking quite a bit longer than it had on the original phone, which is a bit concerning...like maybe I’ll have battery issues.  Guess I get to watch that over the next few weeks.  :(

Re: Christianity and therapy...I grew up in a house where my mom did (and still does) believe that depression can be cured by vitamin D and prayer. It wasn't until I was in college that I was able to get actual help. Growing up, my youth pastors were well aware I suffered from an eating disorder and did nothing. Last time I visited my church the speaker called having an eating disorder and depression as personal choices. I can definitely relate to feeling ostracized by other Christians.

It sounds like you are describing awful people who self-identify as Christian, while completely ignoring the teachings in the New Testament where Christ makes it pretty clear that He wants you to take care of yourself.

For what it’s worth, it doesn’t sound like you’re ostracized by Christians as much as you are ostracized by assholes.

This dress was a 2011 Maggie Sottero very similar to this one, although I think that line has stopped making the red dresses at least.  :(

I know I ended up doing a lot of searching on Google to even find possible suppliers and then I had to find a bridal shop who dealt with that supplier before I tried on the dress in white and then waited 4-5 months to try on the real dress for alterations.
