Him got no time for utensils... or words to that effect!
Tony Hello Operator Imagine: During the BAD PART* of his life, he plays a character in one of those 17 season television shows, and they have to figure out a way to get Tony's character off the show due to tthhheeee behind the scenes circumstances
(art from early 2021)
*I have no name for this part of the story, which means I also have no way to differentiate this bad part of his life with the part where his only employee is a suicide bomb terrorist... Ok. Ok. So I will state it here. This bad part I am talking about is where he gets exposed for self harming via illegal gambling.......... .... I really do promise this story is BETTER THAN IT SOUNDS...
Tony would not be a main character in this TV series. He does not seem the type to me. This hypothetical TV series would also be the very last thing he played in at all, since right after he gets exposed he goes on like, a 5 year hiatus or something. THEN he plays a major, major villain role...!
The point of this story is the cycle of idolatry and it's vicious tendencies to think less or more of someone! But certainly I can't condense this huge concept into ONJE Tumblr post. I ought to draw out and explain more of the development of the characters, the setting and why everything happens the way it does more often. Because out of context this is very jarring......
Tony from Hello Operator is by no means a good man! The whole point of the story is kind of...Let me see, something along the lines of ‘When would you draw the line?’. Tony definitely sucks....But, I’d like to say he went through some sort of stage in mania whilst juggling a ton of addictions (He is incredibly impulsive and scarcely thought twice about doing anything. He mostly was into illegal high stakes gambling and such at this time...). He said terrible things. He did terrible things. He carried himself as someone both smug and belittling yet so painfully insecure and cruel, he was absolutely miserable towards the people around him for better and for worse. Tony was a hopeless man in the trenches of grieving for himself, as he expected to be dead by the end of the year by any means. Does any of this make what he says and does excusable? Never! Not one bit! Did he get what he deserved? That’s completely and totally up to the viewer! Isn’t it wonderful?
