Somehow, Charlie through patience and understanding, had slowly managed to chip away at the armor that Adam had covered himself in. The aggressive, violent and downright nasty former angel had slowly opened up, showing thousands of years of absolute raw agony still seeping inside.

His anger wasn't because he didn't get his way...it was because nobody had talked to him first. They left....they came back for Eve. But they never stayed .

Charlie stayed.....she made sure he knew that she wasn't her parents. And Adam was far from being redeemed.....he was better. Enough that he wasn't threatening to break her parents' spines every time he saw them.

Adam rubbed Lillith's knuckle with his thumb. His voice low....almost hesitant.

Especially with how they had very different ideas on how to handle Heaven... it's fine. That meeting had been a difficult one, but he'll get over it....
