If I ever write a sequel to my hellservants one shot, this is the idea:

Vox memory was wiped, like it always is, but Eeliot (I never remember how to type his name I’m sorry) has noticed a recurring factor: the way vox feels safe around Valentino stays the same, as if his own being knew there was someone really close to him that would protect him but he doesn’t know who it is yet. So… What if he pretended to be the most caring and supportive lover (in the most toxic way… like, choosing the words as if it’s currently great, *i caaaaaan’t wait for how you’ll impress me next love*) so that vox’s subconsciousness thinks he’s the one those feelings belongs to, while removing the one place he feels safe in, putting him against the people who care about him, and putting more and more expectations in a way vox thinks is totally deserved due to low self steem.

What he didn’t expect is that it’d break not only vox this time, but also Valentino, by having the one val needed around the most (because he had the hopes that one day vox would be healed enough to help him out) and putting him against val (absolutely destroying him ‘cause he is a complete people pleaser and the person he loves the most hates him) to the point val begs him to let vox remember him from now on, and he’ll help in whatever torturing Eeliot wants to do if he can have that.

Yeah that’s the plot, yes I thought a lot about it. Yes it’s 5 am.

I find your vox and ethan's relationship in hellservants universe really interesting! I've seen few versions of this au and usually each character has very toxic and controlling relationship with their boss.

Could you please tell us more about your version of this au!? Plspls

For me i don’t like writing toxic ship— NOT saying i don’t enjoy other’s writing of it just don’t have it in me to write toxic ships and make it good. So what end up happening is:

Ethan being possessive of Vox while trying to ignore his own feeling because he was hurt before and he’ll be damned if he got hurt again especially by a lowly assistant he own the soul of. Despite that tho he keep wanting Vox’s approve and praise and just general attention because it just make him giddy. He give Vox HELLA special treatment and refuse to admit it even if it’s very obvious. And he doesn’t want Vox to leave, ever, but I do want him to have a moment of “if you love something let it go” but we’ll see. If Canon Vox get redemption I’ll do it, if he doesn’t I’ll make Ethan worse some how

For Vox he doesn’t like being dote over— well not exactly, he love the attention, the power he have over Ethan and general shit he could get away with that others can’t. But he doesn’t like being treated like he’s some trophy wife. Even if it was never Ethan’s intention that’s how Vox think because it would he would’ve done. Vox also kinda ignores the huge crush Ethan have on him and assumed it’s just— him being him because that’s the only version of Ethan he know while other get the aggressive, threatening overlord. Vox WANT to leave, it had been the only thing he ever wanted since he sold his soul out of necessity because it was hell and he was powerless, but I do want a moment of him actually realizing he doesn’t want to leave Ethan’s side because despite everything he did slowly fall for Ethan— the real Ethan no one else but him see.
