Everything sounds even more amazing if you remember that this boy has athsma, and despite that he's got 11 world records
Yuzuru Hanyu: Emergency Rippon 2T for Worlds 2k17
IDK about you guys but IMO that looks pretty choreographed (LOL, bitter LOL)
Current rank: 5
Yuzuru’s mental state before/during yesterday’s SP
I thought about what I could bring to the fandom after my experience live yesterday, and tomorrow. Seeing Yuzuru in real life is really amazing and I noticed some small cute things that I would like to share.
-He entered the Arena while still wearing headphones. Headbanging a little too, lol. Must have been his favoured japanese rock music.
-He entered the Rink with visible energy, more than the others, probably because of his placement in the Group.
- While they had to line up while the Presentator said their names, he could not hold still. He kept repeating his moves and jump movements and skated around. then lined up, then skated around a little more. It was adorkable.
- He nailed all his jumps in the warm-up. After the 4Sal3T, he went to Brian and he nodded repeatedly, like he was sure he had it, he felt good, he felt sure of himself.
- After doing the jumps, he spent a minute doing the thing he does where he ‘sees’ the moves from the outside, points at the rink, hears the music in his head, and so on. Giving ‘indications’ to himself.
- It’s hard to understand what happened with the 4Sal. I think that maybe the psychological issue was gone, and that allowed him to rotate it. And then that slip. I honestly don’t know if it was bad position of the skate, or just bad luck. I’m still of the opinion that since his knee didn’t touch, they should have validated the 2T Rippon, especially since every other skater in his place would have probably left the 4Sal alone. Once again, Yuzuru shows distinctive clear-headedness in the middle of things.
If anyone thinks he got a low score because he was stiff or rigid, they probably weren’t there. The energy during the whole SP was unreal. He gave us so much and I think he knows. But I feel so sad if I think that now he thinks his abilities aren’t enough because of that unfortunate score.
Nontheless, I predict some great things tomorrow with the Free Program. Everyone is gonna fight, and I hope the fight will be fair.
First season following figure skating and I’m screaming at my computer at 5 am i regret everything, figure skating was a mistake
