shay for the headcanons?

A: what I think realisticallystarted holistic healing as a way of healing herself after getting out of the military.  she saw the physical therapists and people doing their thing and was like, ‘yeah... i wanna do that.’

B: what I think is fucking hilariousknows her barely 100 lb self is probably the strongest/toughest person in the room.  pretends she isn’t so she can prank people.  has thrown tony at least twice.

C: what is heart-crushing and awful but fun to inflict on friendswent into the military because she hated her town, her family was unsupportive, and felt trapped.  the military was even worse because of don’t ask, don’t tell and just... the general type of person that enlists in the army.  got hurt trying to save someone who was also hurt.  went through the recovery process and physical therapy stuff pretty much alone.  (sees delphine doing a similar process and goes into Protection Mode™)

D: what would never work with canon but the canon is shit so I believe it anywaylisten... i am a corn fed, midwestern, praire girl (ish)....  we are a beefy people.  ksenia is not beefy.  but shay, in my head, is just... 100% grade a beef.  just a solid mass of dense, undefined muscle.  it is the way.

top 6 pieces you've drawn?

this is a very excellent and difficult one! I apologize ahead of time for the terribly long post

1. sanvers prom . im beyond proud of this one, mostly cause the colors worked out so much better than I thought and this was the first time that I was immediately satisfied with a piece of work, without hating it for the first few weeks after finishing it. 

2. clexa sexy times . i just love drawing thic clarke and lexa’s arms.

3. jock griffin  im just happy with the colors and the lines on this one. i think everything fell together quite naturally and im very happy with it. 

4. girlfriends who slay together im not too happy with how waverly turned out but I love the pose and nicole looks as fabulous as I intended.

5. in which waverly is tiny apart from anatomical inaccuracies, I love this one, it’s gotten me a lot of recognition within the fandom as well, which is always nice.

6. supergay . some things with their faces and anatomy are off, but im happy with the colors. i had a fun time playing around with the reflective lights from the kryptonite explosion. also lena sneaking in a boob touch

Prompt

Game night with Scott and Hellwizard was always amazing, but since they had started dating it had gotten even better.

Delphine, still not quite fully understanding Runewars was tucked under Cosima’s arm pointing out what cards Cosima should lay.  Shay sat across from them, getting competitive.  (They had been together for almost a year and she still hadn’t beat Cosima, it was time.)  Scott and Hellwizard sat on the other sides of the table, having a similar dynamic.  But they always went every other, there was no clear winner between them.  

Their timer went off, signaling that it was time for a break.  The tension immediately evaporated.

“You want another drink?” Cosima asked Delphine.

“Just water, I think.”

Cosima nodded.  “Anyone else?”

“Sure,” Scott shrugged.

“Please,” Shay added.

“I’ll help you,” Hellwizard got up and followed her to the kitchen.

As they rummaged around, pouring and opening, Cosima turned to him and said, “That last play you made.  That was crafty.  I’ve never thought of that before.”

“Well, I have to be creative if I also want to use elves when we’re playing each other.”

Cosima laughed.  “It’s nice to meet another human that shares my affinity for elf culture.”

Hellwizard laughed.

They came back to the table to see Delphine had switched seats.

“What?” Cosima blinked.

Shay took her wine glass from Cosima.  “I think that you have an unfair advantage with Delphine and that she should help me from now on.”

Cosima shrugged.  “I mean, if that’s why you think you keep losing, you can try whatever you’d like.”

Delphine and Shay grinned at each other, mischievous glints in their eyes.  Cosima knew she’d probably regret this, but she liked seeing her girls so happy.

They left that night, Shay with her first win and bags full of leftover food from Hellwizard, Cosima laughing at Shay’s whoops and hollers of victory and Delphine’s hand gripped tightly in her raised arms.

AWW YEEEAH I FINALLY WORKED THROUGH ALL THE PRECEDING ASKS AND NOW IM HERE!!!!  FUK YEAH

disclaimer: i have a Complicated Gender™ and all of these headcanons are literally ripped from my different phases of questioning.  so uh.. i don’t mean to offend anyone who is these genders (please tell me if i have!!!) and also cis people can just.. leave me alone. 

anyhoo.  

all of clone club goes to high school together.

tony is tony.  he’s pretty secure in his gender even if he doesn’t really come out at school Officially.  all of his friends know, though.

delphine is a trans woman but doesn’t know until like…  senior year.  and even then she doesn’t come out.  just to tony and her mom.

tony and delphine are are best friends until they start dating (BECAUSE IM GARBAGE DONT LOOK AT ME).  then they’re the dream couple.

delphine and her mom take him in when his parents find out.

sarah is nonbinary.  they don’t really like labels.  they just kind of float around in the middle of the spectrum, sometimes more masculine and sometimes not.  

cosima is a demigirl.  she doesn’t really get dysphoria.  it’s more of an intellectual thing.  like she knows gender is made up so she can be whatever she wants to be whenever she decides to be.  she plays with gender, like wearing a packer with a dress or a blazer with a lot of glittery makeup.

felix is gender fluid.  he always uses the same pronouns but his clothes are what he expresses himself with.

shay is the only cis person.  as they all start to come out, they watch her expectantly but she just.. doesn’t.  if she gets drunk enough she’ll do her ‘transphobe voice’ (a horribly scathing impression) and read terribly formatted tweets with transphobic comments.

mrs. s and mrs. cormier are like.. the safe parents.  tony’s folks are terrible.  after delphine came out, mr. cormier showed his transphobia and got hit so hard with divorce papers his nose bled.  cosima’s parents are loving but they just aren’t there enough to Get It, to be hip with the kids.  so the manning household and the cormier house are the places to be.  (i may also ship mrs. cormier and mrs. s.  don’t fuCKINg look at me.)

they all go their separate ways to college.

tony and delphine break up bc they realize they want fundamentally different things out of life.  they’re still best friends (with benefits other than friendship) but... they’re a little bit heartbroken.

delphine goes out after a while, trying to meet someone.  it... has not gone well so far.  she’s learned to have the “I’m Trans” talk in a public place so she doesn’t get yelled at.  or the yelling is minimal.

she runs into cosima in a bar after one such conversation.  she’s just nursing the last of her drink before going home to have a good cry when cosima slides across from her.  “i couldn’t help but overhear.  i’m so sorry, he is a colossal asshole and he doesn’t even deserve you.  my name is cosima, can i buy you another one of those?”

delphine starts laughing.  “yes, i know, cosima.”

and when cosima is like ??? wuH???  delphine says, “we went to high school together.  we used to hang out at my house all the time.”

and cosima goes “WHAT!  no fucking way.  i didn’t even recognize you, what with the hair and the face.  i’m assuming you don’t go by the same name.  wait, why were you talking to that guy, where’s tony?”

and then they catch up.  for hours.  ‘til the bar closes.  they promise to meet back up.  they do.  at the same bar.  the next time they stay ‘til closing they don’t part ways.

thus begins the Softest most Bestest, Validating, Loving....... ugh.. i can’t even articulate it.

cosima mentions that she had an on-again off-again relationship with shay and that she doesn’t really know how to end it the next time shay wants to be on.  and delphine is like.. why does it have to end??  bc she’s got a similar situation with tony when he’s in town.  

and so shay becomes a regular part of their life.  so much so they they just end up all together.  they move in together really fast because it just works so well.

and when tony breezes in, delphine disappears for a couple of days to be with him.  when she comes back shay asks how it was and all delphine can do is blush and giggle.

and through a series of events that i’m not quite sure how it goes, everybody else finds out about this polyamory thing.  then a whole polycule starts.  felix and tony are dating and tony and delphine are hooking up, and delphine is in a committed triad with cosima and shay, but sarah sometimes is with them.  and it’s all just.. so soft.  and polya.  and trans.  life goals tbh.

headcanons for how they spend christmas/winter holidays?

cosima wants to have people over.  a huge party.  for every holiday.  but shay... she just hates hosting parties in her home.  it’s such a hassle and she feels like she never does it right.  so they help alison plan and cosima goes over to her house to help set up.  and delphine bakes.  and shay lifts the heavy things that donnie can’t.

since which thanksgiving should be celebrated and the amount of religions and religious holidays represented in clone club, they have just one big party.  it’s christmas, hanukkah, both thanksgivings, new year’s, delphine’s birthday, any other winter birthdays, and anything else they can think of.  there’s cake and a tree and little firework paper plates.  they do a countdown at midnight and presents and a big turkey dinner.

cosima is a kid.  a 28 year old kid.  and she’s never experienced snow before.  so every year she takes the kids of the family out sledding and stuff.  coco, snow men, and snowball fights, the whole works.  she only starts to seriously think about having her own kids when little donnie and arthur are ‘too old to go sledding.’

for christmas eve/christmas day, they spend it together.  cosima wakes up at the crack of dawn (the one morning of the year that she can) and jumps on the bed to wake everybody else up.  they open presents.  delphine’s mom visits.  they go to shay’s folks’ place.  shay’s grandma is just... super thrilled that shay is so close with her two roommates.  cosima’s parents come to visit them sporadically throughout the year.

cosima has never had traditions.  her parents always went on some academic trip or they went abroad for the holidays.  so she’s really into building a tradition with shay and delphine. (i feel like i read this somewhere else, but i’ve been so hopped up on cold meds i can’t remember where... if this is your headcanon/you made a post about this, link me and i’ll link it here!!)

for the first few years with cosima, valentine’s day is a production.  delphine loves it.  she eventually takes over.  a day to appreciate and spoil her girlfriends?  readily available heart shaped things?  sign her up!

shay thinks it’s a dumb holiday used to sell cards and candy.  but seeing the way delphine lights up when she gives her the 40th heart shaped thing that day and the soft kisses and the ‘i love you so much’-es... she gains a new appreciation for it.  

one year delphine is sick on valentine’s day and the week preceding it.  she realizes on the day that she hasn’t left the house or planned anything and she’s so upset.  she tries to go out and get some things, but she gets too tired after getting dressed that she falls back to sleep.  shay and cosima put together a nice dinner for her and she wakes up and it’s like christmas morning.

bonus: delphine’s birthday is so close to christmas that she never got to celebrate it as a kid and doesn’t really like to as an adult.  so delphine’s mom flies over for the week surrounding her bday/christmas.  they always get brunch on her birthday, starting when she was a little kid, and the only year that didn’t happen was the Clone Year.

shay wakes her up by singing happy birthday and kissing her on the ‘cha cha cha’s or whatever your regional interjections are.  and cosima always gets her a present: a way too expensive and over the top present.  and it’s always so thoughtful that it makes delphine cry.

coshayphine! which one of them is afraid of thunderstorms! and do they grocery shop as a unit or do they split up!

shay is not afraid of thunderstorms.  it’s just the sound reminds her of other loud sounds that she is afraid of.  and then that’s all she can think about.  and then she just needs to sit and zone out for the duration of the thunder.  so if she’s proactive enough she can blast music (usually ladies of the 80′s) and dance and sing and bake and keep herself from several hours of dissociation and/or insomnia.

and jumpy!delphine is... a comedic other side to the coin.  she jumps every single goddamn time and she doesn’t really mind it at all, it’s just... she wishes her entire body wouldn’t spasm in fear sporadically for a few hours.  so she just lies face down on the bed/couch and groans every time a crack of thunder sounds.

and cosima is fascinated.  she didn’t really experience a lot of storms in san fran, so she just watches out the window.  through the window only.  bc of that one time she opened it and hung her head outside, craning her neck to see more of the lightning.

Medical drama AU!

delphine’s an immunologist, bc that’s easy.  she’s super driven and nose to the grindstone at work.  she doesn’t get out much.

shay is in orthopedics, in the physical therapy department.  her hours are more conducive to being a human in society, but she still works a lot.

cosima is a general doctor with a preference for ER and the clinic.  it’s her running joke that nobody else really finds funny that she’s got the easiest job in the hospital, she just sends people to other doctors.

they don’t really interact, their departments are kinda not related.  until one day, the cafeteria is really crowded.  so cosima just… introduces herself to delphine and steals a chair to sit across from her.  delphine is flustered.  she was buried in her book and she’s not used to people talking to her in the lunchroom.  but after the initial “who what now?” they get along great and make a point to sit across from each other as often as possible.

then it’s internship day and while they want to inspire young people to be doctors… they don’t wanna do it on their lunch break.  so they hide in the on-call room.  they’re hiding behind one of the beds, whispering and giggling, so that nobody knows they’re in there.  and shay, having the same idea, sneaks in.  she doesn’t realize that they’re there until she’s leaning her back on the door and sighing.  they make eye contact and burst out laughing.  a friendship is born.

when they do overnights they hang out in that on-call room.  it’s like a sleepover almost twice a week.  sometimes they really do sleep, they go to meet and one of them is slumbering peacefully on the bottom bunk and the others sit next to each other and text back and forth.  

obvious scenes to include:

shay is complaining “i give out so many massages but does anybody ever ask if my muscles are sore?”  cosima asks, “are your muscles sore?”  “yes!”  and then she gets a back rub and/or foot rub

delphine was really invested in this one case.  she worked so hard to cure this person who had their whole life ahead of them.  and just when it was starting to look good, they passed away.  it hits her really hard.  there’s crying in the on-call room and cuddling and perhaps a thunderstorm.

in the style of grey’s anatomy, some tragedy befalls a lot of people in a very melodramatic way.  cosima is beside herself, working a double/triple/quadruple shift to take care of everyone.  she doesn’t trust herself to get home safely afterwards, driving while perfectly alert is hard enough, so shay takes her home.

they get close enough to start hanging out outside of work.  it starts with, “you wanna grab a bite?” and goes to, “you wanna stay over and cuddle? i’m really touch starved.”  and one time it’s drinks and drinking games and truth or dare.  and the dares get sexual because they’re all hella attracted to each other.  they wake up the next morning, naked in cosima’s bed and hung over.  shay doesn’t know if she should sneak out, walk of shame style or if she should pretend to be asleep.  but then delphine wakes up.  by accidentally head-butting cosima.  (poor thing isn’t used to waking up next to people.)
