I think something that doesn’t get talked about enough when discussing the last scene in Severance S2 and Helly’s expression is that Helly was almost Gemma.

Helly ran around that corner expecting to run to the door and watch her partner disappear with another woman she doesn’t even know. She was about to watch a version of the man she loves, who doesn’t know her, leave without looking back.

Just like Gemma watched a version of the man she loves, who doesn’t know her, disappear with a woman she knows nothing about.
