don’t really get why the severance season finale is always reduced to Helly vs Gemma because it’s not a question of Helly vs Gemma, it’s a question of Mark S vs Mark Scout (and the overarching innie vs outie dichotomy). Mark Scout would’ve never chosen Helly and vice-versa for Mark S and Gemma, and so it’s a lot more about Mark S asserting his autonomy for his life and his refusal to submit to being a “subhuman” than it is about markhelly or markgemma because they’re different people who want different things
**to clarify the shipping is part is fine + I get having a preferred outcome, I’m just saying that’s not the entire significance of his choice (also how some make it out to be like he’s one person choosing one over the other, which he isn’t)
