Update
They took Dad off the ventilator around 4, he was breathing on his own and woke up enough to speak with Mom, impatient as ever.
There still a lot of surgery ahead, likely tomorrow.
All of this still blows my mind, but it's happening.

There was a time that my Dad stayed at home with us and my Mom worked, we lived in Mt Hope and I was Itty bitty, but I still carry the most vivid memories.
If you ever visited that house on Madison Street, you know how beautiful those wood floors were, that was because every few weeks Dad and I would shine the floors.
Dad would rig a mop or a push broom with a cloth and I the dutiful helper supervised by riding on said broom or mop.
When I think of that pure childhood happiness, it's those days we would shine the floors.
There's no current update on Terry Barnett but I'll keep you all posted.
