Guys...do you know what this picture is of? VICTORY, that's what. Story time: Over a year ago, my front right turn signal bulb socket burnt out. Not just the light bulb--the whole socket. I snipped the bulb socket off and went to work trying to order the right part. When it came in the mail...it was the wrong part. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I went logging with my brother, and I told his boss about it. He lent me some wire strippers, butt connectors and directions to go find the part I needed at a junk yard. And today, I found the junk yard, scoured it for a Toyota 4Runner with headlights still attached...and couldn't find any. FINALLY, I happened upon an old Toyota Corola which had similar lights. It took some muscle and a screwdriver from a guy nearby to pry it out. The junk yard man let me have it for free--YES! Then, as I'm working to put it on my car, Marlon came to my rescue--providing me with shrink wrap (the butt connectors weren't the right gauge), electrical tape, and helpful tips to finish the job. Not to mention, he gave me his card for any other questions I might have. He seemed shocked to find a girl here working on her car 🚗. Anyway--all told--with free parts, my own labor, and the help of some friends...this turn signal is now restored!!
