Sometimes you just have to be there for them.
No need for solutions, or suggestions. Simply listening and validating someone's else's problems is enough if you truly want to help them get better. Always remember that this is not about you, so give them a safe space where they can share what they are going through and face their emotions.
P.S. Don't forget that you are human too. If you need to take care of yourself first, then do it. Your boundaries are just as important as helping a close one getting through a bad situation.

hello everyone! i don’t usually do this but this time i’d appreciate your help and support! my 12 y/o sister has been diagnosed with acute kidney failure, and they have prescribed several expensive treatments and medications. just the dialysis is around 750$ and we don’t have that much! she lives in Venezuela, and all we know how terrible the things are going over there.
