Today’s post is a little different. We have a watchman, he is 60 and lives at Kamgar Nagar Andheri West. Last 15 years that we know him, he has taken care, given meds and food to more than 20 cats and dogs in that area. Although, he has no relatives to take care of him. His spouse, who was his only support, passed away last year due to COVID-19. He can't see with his 1 eye & his 2nd eye also has poor visibility due to cataract & diabetes. The total cost of his surgery & post op is around ₹75,000 for both eyes. ₹40,000 is already managed with the help of one of our founders and we are initiating his treatment at Lotus Eye Care, Juhu. This dog is 15 years old who has heart issues. Had water retention in body which was removed yesterday. ‘Chintu’ was found in a fish market with a severed leg. He is being treated since last 1 week. There was infection, swelling and pus. Luckily, he has been eating.
