@helreisa : "That's probably true, but let's get you checked over anyway, alright?"
leg remains placed on an extra chair, small hairs standing straight. you could almost feel the tingling sensation they felt. it was hard to sew up a nasty gash like the one on their leg- one of mysterious origin. ALLY’S NOT READY TO TALK ABOUT IT YET. rachel is naturally, & understandably, concerned. they assure her that they know how to at least stop the bleeding, & sew the wound (noted by their progress with stitches, needle still in shaky hand.), & their body would naturally cauterize whatever remained; but rachel comments:
that’s probably true, but let’s get you checked over anyway, alright?
“you’d think the average person would tend to my wounds with no questions asked?” they AVOIDED hospitals as much as they could, avoided doctors, pharmacies, anything related to benefit their health. their immediate response was as if they knew she was going to say that, like they were hoping she would.
“hippocratic oath or not, someone, i- i don’t know who, is going to take one look at me & contact AREA 51 or some shit. unless i somehow lose another limb? i’m not going.”
they don’t like being stubborn, but given their whole situation, they have to be. to be as ISOLATED as possible. thankfully arcadia bay was nothing more than a small town, where they felt more hidden than they did... back home.
“i’ll be fine, rachel. you know i’ve s- suffered worse than a cut like this.”
