Finally done with this little two-stage horse Poké!
Fjordin, the Draft Pony Pokémon; its natural evolution Fjoristen, the Coldblood Pokémon; and assisted evolution Fjorgheist, the Helsteed Pokémon. They’re based on the Norwegian Fjord, with some Norse mythology and general Nordic influence thrown in. Little Fjordin’s mane and tail varies by location. More southern Fjordin have the Soft formation. Spiked formation are more common in blizzard conditions. The northernmost Fjordin have the Solid formation, and the Rampart formation tend to be found in the wild near Pokémon ranches. When they evolve at Level 32 into Fjoristen, their formation colors invert but retain a similar shape as they did at base stage. The swirls at their shoulder and hips are a magical ice that glows when they use Ice-based attacks.
Trainers looking to acquire the spooky Fjorgheist must have Fjordin hold a Reaper Cloth. When it reaches Level 32 and is holding the cloth, this triggers its evolution into the Helsteed instead of the Coldblood. While Fjorgheist continues to hold the item, its spectral wings become active, flowing in a nonexistent breeze. If the item is removed from the Pokémon, the wings deactivate and become striped markings across the creature’s withers and back. When it breathes out through the nostril holes of its helm, no matter the ambient temperature, its breath emerges as a gout of freezing vapor.
