My ideal Skeletor

I was once told , in a nonjudgemental way, my ideal Skeletor is kind of all over the place.

but that was actually the point.

I want to see if Skeletor can live up to being an “Incarnation of Evil” in a way that isn’t one note.

Evil can be funny, (see Punch and Judy),.

Evil can be petty.

Evil can be horrifying.

Evil can be pitiful.

If I had creative control, that would be put up in the writers room.

Batros

Remember Batros? The villainous criminal that wasn't a part of Skeletor's gang but Skeletor somewhat respected.

Had an evil plan where he steal valuable books containing critical information from Cast, and extort them for power?

Wore a possible prototype of the Horde Symbol from when the Horde was still in development?

Who set up his lair in the abandoned Temple of the Sun, which is hilarious for obvious reasons?

Most people proposing redesigns just fold him into the Speleans

Just as we have multiple cat and reptile people spread across Eternia and Etheria, I think we can allow for additional bat people if they fill another niche

While the Club Filmation figure toy bio implies his whole race is evil... that's really, really against the spirit of the show, but there is  aesthetic also helps give an idea for nonevil and civilian types

19th and early 20th- style Vampire and bat-costumes and illustrations

Batros has the makings to be a "gentleman thief" that talks badly about everyone behind their back. (but you know, still ripped because this is Eternia.)

There is also the idea his personal logo could be based on the Horde. Perhaps he is a descendent of a Hordesman stranded on or recruited from Eternia? Found some artifacts from a failed invasion of Eternia and was inspired?

Weird guilty pleasure hope

I want the next He-Man reboot to make him a bit pudgy like real life gladiators and compare the magnitude of the resulting backlash to the She-Ra redesign.

Something I noticed in He-Man

Stridor, Battle Bones...

Steeds aside from Battle Cat  seem to end up self-employed or mercenaries, or have no ties to a particular character.

While part of that is to allow more story flexibility (any character could ride them), it has potet

What I’m saying is I could totally see a worldbuilding thing in future where various artificial and magical steeds roam Eternia and are paid for their services, treated as highly respected without regards to their lack of opposable thumbs.

Also could be funny way to give Skeletor to alternate between “even evil has standards” in looking down at those who try to stiff such steeds in payment, while also refusing to tip because he’s evil (unless the tip is done with stolen money.)

He-Man reboot idea: Scareglow and Ninjor

Scareglow is a merging of a spirit or psionic entity with a solid light hologram/illusion. 

Skeletor created them by calling on the psychic energy of pain and torment across time and space, then sent them off to ruin Prince Adam's birthday party.

Along with He-Man's duplicate, Faker, they are the closest things Skeletor has to children.

Unlike Faker they are not treated as a little brother by some of the Evil Warriors. However, Skeletor actually treats Scareglow with affection unlike Faker.

They also have a friendship with Ninjor

The evil warriors did question how exactly the pun of the name works when they are a skeletal spectre rather than a scarecrow

Ninjor

An amnesiac stunt actor pulled out of the same rip in space and time used to create Scare-Glow

They remembered they were a "ninja*", so one of the evil warriors turned that into the name "Ninjor."

Due to witnessing a wide span of history ala a dream vision, it is unclear what exactly time period of Earth he came from, or even if it is "our Earth" and not a very different timeline or even a space colony that was just doing historical fiction or fantasy.

They were in their first fiction together so I thought it’d be fun if they were friends. Scare Glow was invisible in the light while Ninjor was stealthy in the dark, kinda making them a duo.

Scareglow is meant to exemplify how Skeletor is simultaneously terrifying,and also petty.

Scareglow’s gender is up in air, going to whatever best theoretical voice actor applies for it.

Ninjor’s action figure feature: color change between grey and black? (Grey is better for stealth in real life.)
