wait what i mean by saying "i dont like magui either" i mean im not her fan and i dont follow her career or social media and i dont really know much about her life. its not that i hate her, i simply dont care about her and even about landos friends outside f1 honestly like max fewtrell pietra keegan and his quadrant/streaming friends etc, i dont really follow lando or any drivers outside their f1 job so i dont really know their personal lives or what they do when its not race weekends. im sorry if its not clear, english is not my native language

but i still see a lot of lando fans throwing hate to magui, both in tumblr and twitter and instagram and even tiktok. idk why they think lando is forced to date her, they love portraying wags as evil bitch and their drivers as innocent angelic baby who doesnt know anything, and it makes me so mad that kind of behavior coming from women too ☹️💔
ofc there are fans who are still mad, and will always be. but as someone who's been into rpf fandoms since she was 16yo, for over 14 years now, let me tell you the way a loooooooot of landoscarinas/landorinas reacted over the news was not the norm before. it would have just been a few fans, but the overwhelming majority would have been so happy about that breakup -- that was not the case here, and that's progress!
omgg i agree sooo much!!! i dont really like magui either but most of the hate she gets is rooted from misogyny and they went out of their way to hate her up to the point of sending death threat to her. and when i point that out to some lando fans, they accuse me of being a magui fan eventhough i dont like her either and just pointing out that they are being misogynistic towards her. out of the things to criticize her, yet they choose to be misogynist and call her slut/gold digger/ran through going from man to man, and i hate them so much for shaming a woman for dating...
i will start by asking one question, to be fair: why do you dislike magui? i'm not saying you have to be a fan of her, not everyone is interested in wags like some of us are (for multiple reasons btw), but i do think once you've debunked everything said about her and around her, there's no real reason left to dislike her. (i do understand, though, to still not vibe with her even after her apology, but i guess there's a difference for me between not caring about her and disliking her) this said, i agree about the fact people hate her because of misogyny, and especially internalised misogyny which is even sadder. she's not the only one, literally most wags go through this -- because fangirls can't stand that their favorite driver has a girlfriend, won't date them, that rpf isn't real, etc. but magui already being a public figure + having already dated a football player + currently lando, which is like one of the hottest topics of f1 right now, of course she gets even more thrown in her face that the others do.
and it's just sad, and infuriating, there's no other word for it.
