My name's Lucid (or Merle depending on how you know me)

I am a trans-masculine man (pronouns he/him and they/them)

I am asexual/panromantic and am in a relationship

I'm a 23-year-old artist from the USA

I can speak English and Spanish, but my Spanish is extremely rusty because it doesn't get used very often, so I apologize in advance.

I am introverted and do not have a very large social battery outside of my circles. I do allow messages, but if I don't respond please don't take it personally.

What Are My Interests?

My main interest at this moment is Legend of Zelda. I've been around the games for over a decade but have not really interacted with the fanbase until recently.

I am the author/artist for @tethered-in-myth (Links Meet LoZ AU) and @hemlock-grows-in-oakhurst (A VSMP Swap AU)

I'm a freelance artist who mostly works with streamers I know personally at the moment. Please don't ask for commissions, I'm currently only taking ones from people who know me or know my friends/current clients personally.

Art-wise I enjoy character design and expression. My designs can get complicated; I apologize in advance fan artists ❤️

Games I Enjoy (Not all, just naming a few): Legend of Zelda (Obviously), Pokemon, Final Fantasy XIV, Hollow Knight/Silk Song, Bloodborne, Fire Emblem, Octopath Traveler, Dungeons and Dragons, Expedition 33, Minecraft

Other Media I Enjoy (Once again, not all of them): Critical Role, Dungeon Meshi, Apothecary Diaries, Frieren, KPop Demon Hunters, HTTYD, MCYT (Mostly just POWCreations, Hermitcraft, and Life Series)

I also generally love animals. I make references in my works to different animals all of the time.

What Don't I Allow on my Blogs?

Highlights

Most Popular Fic: I could be your antidote

Explicit fic, Words: 126,145, complete. It's my most popular work, even though the gap between kudos and hits is humongous. lol Viarookanis madness, it's my first DATV fic, the one that started all. And I'm afraid it's gonna appear more than once in this post.

Shortest Completed Fic: I might just tear you apart

Illarook fic, Words: 533, short and bittersweet fic. It's literally just Illario wanting Rook, but they are with Lucanis - jealousy is an ugly thing, isn't it?

Longest Completed Fic: Neither saint nor a sinner

I didn't want to list Antidote again, and this fic is one of the fics I'm most proud of this year - it's a Priest/Demon Viarook AU that I had planned to write for months, until Kinktober made me write it. Makes me sad it didn't do well with numbers, but oh well, what can you do.

In Progress Fic that I want to work on More: A honey sip, a bitter kiss, a hemlock high

This one is a bit spicy and problematic (warning, there's incest in it), but I really wanna go back to it someday. I just wanted to write something problematic because dark fic makes me feel better when my own mind is not in a good place. Viarook, Viago and Rook are half-brothers who escape their parents moving to Treviso, but their relationship starts to crumble when the jealousy becomes too much.

Spiciest Fic: Kinktober 2025

I think my spiciest lies within the Kinktober drabbles. I really pushed myself this year, I think, considering I couldn't write even one in years past. 13 drabbles in this fic and two others posted separately because of word count. It's literally just Viarook and filth galore, except for one Illario x OC.

Most Updated Fic: I could be your antidote

I'm gonna use this again, because boy, even though it is complete, I've updated it 23 times until the end. If you search for Antidote AU in my tumblr, you're gonna see a lot of fanart - I've commissioned a bunch just because I was so in love with Lucanis, Viago, and my Rook. It's the fic that made me fall in love even more with this polycule and my own Rook.

Tbh, I feel accomplished this year. lol

The First Turn

A lot of the art and whatnot that I've made for the AU so far involves things that can't really be shown unless we know our vampires (outside of Cleo and Legundo).

So why not start with some ominous posting for the first?

Cleo figured out that Legundo was another vampire very quickly.

So, for their first target they formulate a hunt together. Get someone that Legundo or Cleo had spent time with enough for them to trust going out alone together. Cleo hadn't been consistently with someone enough to build that trust...but Legundo?

He knew exactly who trusted him already.
