Jade doesn’t often make the trip down to Goldenrod City from across the sea in Cianwood, but every month or so, even Chuck grows tired of her drive and sends the Battle Girl away on an errand, or--heaven forbid--a vacation. And every time, his lead Gym Trainer begrudgingly obeys. Boss’s orders.

Goldenrod isn’t all bad, Jade supposes upon her most recent arrival. The city’s lengthy streets are perfect to run miles on, and nobody bats an eye at the Battle Girl’s intimidatingly unique choice of dress. After all, Johto’s biggest city boasts a wonderfully diverse crowd, and Jade appreciates the fact that she can blend into the zany urban backdrop without attention.  

But the former delinquent is pushing her luck hours later, her footsteps confident as she strides alone through the infamous Goldenrod Tunnels, now eerily silent in the dead of night. Jade had stopped down here to grab some Energy Roots from the questionable looking sales ladies at their molding stall--in her defense, it was the only place that you could find them in Johto--and is now tempting fate, casually munching on the impossibly-bitter produce while strolling past countless seedy, slumbering criminals. The sudden, subtle sound of padded footsteps brings the Battle Girl to a halt, causing her to lower the half-eaten Root slowly to her side. She feels hot breath on the back of her neck, and her muscles tense up, crimson eyes narrowing in the darkness.

“Stop following me,” Jade orders bluntly after the tense pause, her eyes still fixed straight ahead as she continues to trek towards the Tunnel’s exit. “You don’t want to test my patience right now.”

Link was having a cigarette in the boys restroom on the first floor of the school, killing time before the bell. He had a forged hall pass in his pocket, although that wouldn’t do him any good if he was caught smoking in the building. He checked his watch -- two minutes before the end of third period. He took one final huff before tossing the cigarette butt into one of the urinals on the way out.

He made his way through the halls with his hands in his pockets, thankfully managing to avoid the hall monitors on his way to his destination. When the bell finally rang he was leaning against the wall outside of one of the classrooms, and when his girlfriend stepped out he took her small hand in his and pulled her aside to greet her with a peck on the lips, but before their lips could meet--

“Lincoln! No public displays of affection on school property. This is your final warning; if I have to tell you again--”

"Yeah, you’ll send me to the office. Don’t you have--what the hell do teachers even do. Don’t you have some papers to grade or somethin’?” Link scoffed as he straightened his posture slightly. 

"You’re on thin ice, Lincoln,” the teacher narrowed his eyes at the senior before disappearing back into the classroom, quietly hoping for Link to be suspended again soon so that he wouldn’t have to put up with his attitude for a few days.

“Hey, babe,” he returned his attention toward Vayne with a look of aggravation on his face. It wasn’t even lunch time yet and Link had already had enough of this accursed learning establishment for the day. “Let’s get outta here.”

8. Has anyone ever broken your heart? If so, how did they do it and how did you feel?

“I’ve never really been attached to someone like that. Seems like a waste of time, to me.” Link shrugs his shoulders haphazardly. “I don’t see what the big deal is. If a chick tells me to fuck off, I fuck off – plenty of other bitches in the sea.”

17. Do you like your family?

“They’re dead,” he states in an almost alarmingly relaxed tone. “Don’t even remember their faces, if I’m honest.”

34. Can people be held accountable for things people close to or related to them have done or are they innocent?

“Everybody’s gotta be responsible for their own shit, one way or another.”

55. Where did you learn most of your knowledge and skill?

“From the streets, I guess.”

81. For one day you’re in charge of babysitting a younger version of yourself (5 and under). What do you do? You are not allowed to give yourself back. 

“I don’t do well with kids, a’right?” Link snapped, shaking his head. “I dunno, just give the kid a game and some snacks – if he acts up, some whiskey in his sippy cup should make him chill out.”
