Chismis #3 (of the Philippine history) When I conducted a random survey (just unofficial, very churva churva) about Diego Silang, all the average filipino student can say is that he was Gabriela Silang's husband. Diego Silang was the original revolutionario, and was replaced by his wife when he died. Not only that, I'm not against Gabby or something, but her leadership only lasted for four months. Why is she so celebrated, then? Why not Marcela Marcelo who was an official general of the republic? Who was greatly praised by the other generals as wild and brave, (thus nicknamed Selang Bagsik)? What's with Gabriela Silang? How come the average Filipino student doesn't know about Marcela? Help me solve this chismis.
