Tis The Season...To Be Crafty! Pom Pom Pillows
The holidays always give me the urge to craft, but unfortunately it's always the time of year when I'm the busiest.
I'm pleased to say I was able to scratch the craft-itch this year with a project that's simple, but looks complicated: Pom Pom Pillows!
All you have to do is sketch (or trace!) a design onto a pillow cover, then fill it in with pom poms! Attach the pom poms one by one using a hot glue gun. It sounds tedious, but I promise it goes quicker than you’d think. I did this pillow in under 2 hours.
I’ve found that simple, solid color patterns work best -- but I’m still getting started. I’ve already found myself day dreaming about different patterns and designs to do next!
Want to give it a try? Here’s what you’ll need:
1/4inch Pom Poms (this pillow took 4 100-packs - I purchased mine at AC Moore Craft Stores)
Hot glue gun and 7-10 glue inserts
1 pillow cover (I got mine from Ikea, it’s only $4 and they have many of colors)
1 festive pattern (I based my design off this buck head. Looking for something else? Try searching keywords on Google Images or Pinterest.)
