Jack lingered patiently as he waited for his order to be completed, always opting for the same: a flat white. As he lingered by the pick-up counter, he looked over at his 'date' for the outing — one of the few friendships he maintained so consistently (and really, mostly due to the fact that they worked together). "Had another truly disastrous blind date last night. I was fifteen minutes late, she had bad veneers, and also tried to light a cigarette inside the restaurant." Jack's tone carried a beleaguered amusement. "I don't know, man. I can't take much more of this. The last one used an all natural deodorant. She didn't even tell me that, I could just tell. Well, smell. Last week Lily called me a depressing bachelor. Maybe I should just lean into it."
Couldn’t care less about byler tbh. But I do care about Will and it’s so sad what duffers are doing with his character.
Why show us that he has so many similarities with El and Henry? That can’t be a coincidence that he survived the Upside Down? And all these parallels about Will being different and sensitive just like Henry were for nothing.
And don’t get me started about his nonexistent coming out. I don’t really need Byler to be canon. I just want Will to be himself. We could have a nice scene with Jonathan and Will like the scene from season two where whey talked about being freak.
I miss season one and season two.

There are certain levels of pretentious. Being born to the family she had been and having to suffer growing up in the circles that she did, Grace deems herself to be something of an expert in identifying the different types of mind-numbingly rich and obnoxiously stuffy. On one of side of the spectrum, towards the cooler, far better end, was herself. Sure, her parents’ bank account occasionally topped up her own, but she by no means flaunts her wealth with designer labels and fast cars and the latest haircare wonder made from hand-raised Egyptian lobster eggs mixed with salt from the Dead Sea that was hand-sieved by the Queen of England’s second cousin’s doctor’s boyfriend’s neighbour. On the other end, probably washing his glossy locks in such products, lay people like Henry Zhang. “Weird,” she drawls unlovingly, purposefully dragging the soles of her boots over his pristinely clean floor, immensely annoyed with having to be summoned to his showroom home like a dog that had gone astray. “I’m pretty sure I watched a porn once that took place in an apartment that looked identical to this one.”
Standing in front of her Capodecina, she crosses her arms over her chest and gives a heavy, expectant shrug. “Why the fuck am I here? There are literally a hundred other ways that you could have spoken to me, it didn’t have to be face to face. Pick up a phone. Send an email. Tie a letter to the leg of a pigeon. Pass whatever you need to say on through someone else. Learn morse code. Buy a blimp and get them to display it on the side. Hire a skywriter and write it in the sky. Learn to use telepathy and talk to me through dreams.”

Even though it was strange that he had to learn of his dad’s presence in town from his brother, Alexander was happy to see him nonetheless, though he still didn’t know why he was here. Of course, as children grew up, he figured it was normal to drift apart somewhat, but lately, Alex had felt like he barely knew who his parents were anymore. Looking on as the waitress picked up his empty glass and his father ordered another drink, Alex leaned back in his seat and pressed his hands into his thighs, stretching out his arms with a deep inhale. He’d never been able to keep up with his dad.
“I think I’ll pass,” the younger Arnault said, smiling politely at the waitress before focusing on his dad again. The man looked aged. Alex knew his job could take its toll, of course, but this was different -- his eyes seemed weary. Still, he was glad to just spend some time together. “Anyway, how’s mom? I’ve been wanting to call her, but ..” he said, trailing off because there was no end to that sentence. But what? He’d been avoiding her. He knew she’d be understanding, she’d be emphatic, .. but that would feel too much like pity, and he couldn’t have that right now. “Well -- tell her I’ll come visit soon. It’s just been so crazy, with work, and the move, and .. you know.”

A care-free smile and hair colored like the moon. His resemblance to the albino shark was minor. Minuscule. But a grin and a smear of silver was enough to gather her awareness and have a lone crimson eye stare at him with dark mirth, a smile quirking the corner of her lips. Not a companion. No ally. But diversions to her ill reality were a delight. And if he proved to be a bore, she could certainly dispose of him. Choke him until his crushed throat filled his mouth with bile and nibble at his corpse at her own leisure. How pleasant.
