Drinks | D'Arcy & Henry.
D'Arcy drummed her nails on her desk as she tried, relentlessly, to reply to a letter from her father. Keep up your grades, he said. Or else, he added. It was supposed to make her laugh but really he just sounded like the Godfather. He was a lot like the Godfather. Cold, hard, uncaring about most things. Old Muggle movies were one of D'Arcy's guilty pleasures but she never really told anyone that. She wasn't one to go broadcasting about her personal life. Sighing, she tapped her wand against the parchment and watched it burn. Then she stood and crossed the room to her bed. Darcy yanked a trunk out from under her bed. It rattled as she stopped it with her knees.
She popped the top open and pulled out two full bottles of whiskey. She shrunk them and stuffed them in the pocket of her hoodie before shoving the chest back under her bed and walking to the door. Hopper had been an old friend of hers. One of the first boys she ever met that wasn't clean cut with a perfect tie, pressed slacks, and a nose in the air. He had a ego, naturally. But it wasn't anywhere near what she was used to. He was refreshing. And just what she needed right now.
She walked down the hall to his room and tapped her fingers lightly on the door. Contrary to popular belief, she wasn't like her sisters. She didn't swoon over any boy that showed her a little attention. She knew words bigger thansoup. She was also very cunning if she needed to be. When he opened up she looked up at him through her lashes, a pout reaching her lips. "You owe me a drink."
