Well lad, this is it.

It’s been fun, with you… and your mother. You’re a good kid, Henry, what with always seeking to be a hero. But remember, you don’t have to search and try so hard, lad. Heroism is already in your blood. 

But it’s time for me to be off. This isn’t the place for me, and you’ve a family here. You’ve already a father, and mothers. Grandparents— Hell, lad, you’ve more family than you know what to do with. Which is a good thing. Do not get me wrong. Enjoy it— 

and take care of the Jolly Roger. 

She’s yours now.

//Do you ever use bleach? Do you have any interesting tips on cleaning leather?

No. Milah figured out how to clean them the best way. Still works, as a matter of fact, using one of her soaps, I think…

[ I actually don’t know much about leather and the “best” ways to clean them–hence google magic :) So, we’ll just say that Milah used some moisturizing soap one day, and it cleaned the pirate’s clothing the best; he still does the same thing. ]

Killian was silent for awhile, looking at nothing in particular, but doing almost everything he could to keep his eyes away from the young lad. From Emma’s boy. The kid was insightful, that was for sure. And he understood things in a way Killian realized few ever did. Especially when it came to this. 

“You’re rather perceptive, aren’t you?” he said, his voice only slightly hard, as he tried to put the mask on, tried to go back behind Hook and let Killian retreat. It was easier, sometimes, to let the hard pirate deal with things. 

“What makes you think I fear anything in the first place?” Killian uttered, eyebrow raised at Henry. “Especially something like this…"
