The sunshine baby.

His favorite books are Huckleberry Finn + Western Lullaby… so naturally, when we got here, Nature Boy wanted me to just leave him here, but could I please come visit him with snacks and his baby 🦊.

And his books, of course! I admire his spunk.

Mornings with Hank. When I walk into his room, I can hear him jabbering on about who knows what! We catch each other’s eyes, and he exclaims, “mama! bebe (pointing to my tummy)! hi!”. And he reaches for us.

Then we snuggle and play and snuggle and read books and play and snuggle.

I hope that we can love and raise our babies up in a way where they don’t have to recover from their childhood, but their childhood is the solid foundation for their future.

In and out, but a day with him is what we needed. Sometimes he’s home LOTS and we get spoiled, and some weeks, only days. His absence from our lives never gets easier. It’s cheesy, but I don’t care – he’s totally our hero and we flippin’ love him to the 🌙 and back. 👨🏻‍🚒👩🏼‍🌾👦🏼
