The cursive writing on that Missy cross stitch is divine. Is there a chart available for it somewhere? Whether purchased or free, I MUST have it!

I used a typeface from a book that I’ve had for like...10 years (I think) now.  It’s font #127 in “Alphabets Galore”, I use it for almost everything.I found the book just now on amazon (link here) and it’s only $4.29 CDN so I’d recommend it.

Not yet, we are packing and have some stuff over there but my landlord isn't done her thorough paint and clean yet (we told her we didn't plan on moving in til Mid August). And I hear you about storage. I live in an apartment with a hella tiny kitchen with no pantry and no linen closet. I stack my towels, currently, on the top shelf of the coat closet :( this new unit has a huge storage closet, linen closet and pantry. WHOO! And windows on three sides, for lots of light and air circulation :)

Yaaay for lots of light and air movement! It really does make such a difference. We’re moving from all south-facing windows to east-facing (but with a balcony!) and I have high hopes for our plants now that they’re not going to be blasted with all the afternoon sun.Also, hurray for slow moves! I just started packing today and it’s so nice to not feel rushed about it. More time to daydream about how to make the new space pretty! I don’t know about you, but I tend to get super panicked about the whole process so it’s good to be able to think through it logically!

i went to a bridal store in sherwood park called Bridal Debut when i bought my bridesmaids dress for my sisters wedding. i really enjoyed my experience there than any of the bridal stores i had gone to.

I've heard really good things about that place and I was planning on trying there next :)

David Bridal has a bad reputation, for having these types of actions. Upselling constantly. But there's a lot of store-to-store variances there in terms of quality of service. Good luck with your next shopping trip! It'ssuch a hard choice

I'd heard that about David's, and the reason I started with it was to see if I could get some idea about what looked good on me. But the thing that really got me was how the consultant acted like a co-conspirator against my mom (my parents are paying for a significant chunk of this wedding) the minute she got wind of there being any sort of disagreement about style. Like...really?

I think I'm very late replying to this but thank you for the advice! I know I'll have to stick with it and practice daily -- I took Spanish in college and while I can still understand some of it I can't put a sentence together to save my life, haha. I didn't keep practicing after the class was done, I wish I had!

Good idea to watch my favorite movies in French! One of my favorite movies *is* a French film so perhaps I'll give it a go without subtitles after a few weeks. :)
