I'm not into got or asoiaf anymore but show! alicent hightower has been growing on me and now is so beloved to me as an oldest daughter, you just don't get her like I do
#alicent hightower#alicent hotd#house of the dragon#her relationship with her children is so complex too#like she loves them obviously#they have her blood#but she has lost so much to them#her youth#her happiness#her freedom#the love of her life (rhaenyra)#and was forced to be a mother since she was a kid#so the resentment is always there#almost haunting her#cause she must have grow up thinking she will dedicate her life to love and raise her children#and she thinks the deep feeling of pain (or hate) in her chest when she sees them will go away as she learns to love them and be a mother#but it never does#and tries to live with it.#they make me ill#rip alicent you would have loved being a deadbeat father
