we all know the obvious foreshadowing in ABOSAS about coriolanus hating mockingjays. but i thought about it more and i think it pertains to more than just katniss.

he calls mockingjays “unnatural” and that’s part of the reason he hates them so much. but that got me thinking…

it’s referenced a few times that katniss’ parents were an unlikely marriage. a seam kid and a merchant kid. that parallels birds, too.

burdock is the mockingbirds- covey, musical, a songbird. but also 100% district too.

asterid is the jabberjay. meant to belong to the capitol because of her higher status being a merchant kid, slightly less scummy than seam kids. but like the jabberjays mating with the mockingbirds, she broke off from capitol expectations and married a seam kid, and had their little mockingjay.

I will say that we totally overlook just how Powerful Percy is like... all the time. Like, so many are talking about how "happy go lucky" he is and how "Nico and Jason could beat him in a fight" and I'm over here looking at the Ahklys incident and the hurricane during the battle of Manhattan and mt. st. Helens thing and thinking like..... "bro have we been reading the same books or???"

Who the hell thinks that Percy would lose to anyone in a genuine fight?

Like I'm sorry but Percy IS stronger than Nico (though Nico is the one person I would put as possibly able to beat him if Nico was in full health and had all his powers available to him, but even that is iffy). Percy's powers are the kinds that level battle fields, the others have powers that are more... pinpoint ig the word is. They're focused. Percy can erupt a volcano on accident and they can send lightning streaking down to hit someone or summon ghosts and skeletons to battle.

Percy's powers just are on another level.

Salty today seeing that WB is likely scrapping the Zatanna movie because she’s lesser known. Yeah okay, so lets just do another 14,897 batman movies. That’s fine. I’m sure you’ll never run out of original ideas. 

Although, slightly thankful so they won’t screw up her story. But like ... salty af.
