The difference between Homo Magi and Magic Users.

Example being: Zatanna Zatara and John constantine 

Homo Magi is a race of human beings who born, quite literally, with magic in their blood. They are magic blooded humans thus making them incredibly powerful, even from birth. This is why it’s so important for them to start their training when they’re young. Zatanna knew how to talk backwards and start to use her magic before she could even tie her shoes, Giovanni made certain of it. It is also through this race of people, that Zatanna has loose ties/relations to Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, as the Homo Magi helped form the basis of Atlantis itself. Cool little fun fact for ya. 

Homo Magi Include: Madame Xanadu, Zee, Giovanni, Sindella, Felix Faust, Doctor Mist. (some others but those are off the top of my head.)

Back to my point. 

Magic users are those who have learned magic and utilize what they have learned over the years. It’s a taught skill, more than something that they were actually born with. 

Magic users: John Constantine, Papa Midnite, Nick Necro, Doctor Fate, Sargon the Sorcerer. (some others but those are off the top of my head.)

Just casually taking a second to really appreciate the way that John looks at Zee at any given moment. 

From the very start to everything in between, to animated movies, to Webtoon comics.

Even to comics I don’t care for or support, I have one obsession and while it is fed scarcely, I continue to thrive on the fact that yes they’re chaotic but whatever is left of John Constantine’s heart ... Zatanna Zatara definitely has a piece of it.

I’m all for having a Zatanna representation in the next Constantine movie but listen ... that woman is supposed to be the LEADER of JLD. Don’t turn her into a naive little child when she’s a love interest to Constatine and could put them all onto their buts with a few simple words. Let her run wild and free and finally have a chance to show how incredible she is if they actually bring her onto the big screen in live action representation. Oh, I’ll be so mad guys ... Why are people always so against have older people as representation for heroes? Give us an experienced Zatanna who could lead a team and stop the world from ending. While getting mixed up with one hot mess of a man who literally only has a few years on her.
