Headcanon: Rewriting the Laws
Rei believes that most of the current laws of the Soul Society need to be rewritten because of what’s occurred ever since Ichigo made his presence felt. So one day she opened up her journal and rewrote them as followed:
A Shinigami may lend their powers to a human if deemed absolutely necessary or if the human’s life is in immediate danger.
Forbidden Kido may only be used by Captains in certain situations, and when other types of Kido are considered useless.
It is against the law for any citizen of the Soul Society to create and use weapons of a dangerous nature. To do so will result in severe punishment.
It is against the law to attack a captain. To do so will be considered battery and assault and will result in severe punishment.
It is against the law to commit terrorist actions or attempt to overthrow the balance of the the Soul Society. Terrorist actions will result in the charge of attempted murder and trying to overthrow the Soul Society will be considered treason.
It is against the law to commit murder. If one commits murder then the punishment is death.
It is against the law to kill a Human. Period. No exceptions.
It is against the law for a Shinigami or a citizen of the Rukongai to gain Hollow-like powers. To do so will result in punishment.
The Gotei 13 may only intervene in the affairs of Nobles when said family breaks one of the laws of the Soul Society or when deemed necessary through individual means.
A Shinigami may remain in the World of the Living within a set time frame. Time expansion may be granted with the permission of his/her Division Captain.

I’ve heard of this food blog called A Girl Named Jack which is run by a single mum living on benefits in the UK. She posts budget recipes and tips for cooking with a microwave. Maybe it might be worth checking out?
I've seen a few of those kinds of blogs, but another nasty little part of my situation is that I have very little space to actually store food, and almost no run of the kitchen. I've got one cabinet space, which isn't even all three levels of the one door, and no designated space in the fridge for my things which always ends up 'Sam get your fucking shit out of the way' when it gets crowded, or worse, her blind husband accidentally eats my food. (we've managed to avoid that, but again I'm keeping next to nothing in the fridge) So I'm left with things I can make easily or eat straight from the packaging. I miss having my own space so much, but I'm not allowed to keep food stuff in my room.
