Cow goddess and queen of heavens go brrrrrr
Sup, it's me Astron? Thanks for naming me, now you have to keep me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Let's talk about Gaia of Astral Train. Or atleast what I have thought about.
Gaia isn't just the goddess of the Earth - she IS the Earth. Her flesh is the ground beneath your feet. The thing is, humans can't tune into her frequency; her vibe is too cosmic. She's struggling to figure herself out, too. So, she birthed the Titan Gods, essentially creating more relatable versions of herself and the universe.
Fast forward: the Titans and later gods (especially Zeus and the Olympians) constantly clash with Gaia. They want to rule her surface, dominating nature and claiming dominion over human concepts that are totally foreign to her. It's like, they're trying to tame the untamable.
Some say Gaia's the one behind all the monsters, trying to create life forms strong enough to take on her own immortal kids - you know, to balance the cosmic scales.
Recently there has been a huge spike in monsters and various aotger creatures spreading from place to place. The Olympians have very mixed opinions on them, Athena sees them as a pest and wants them exterminated, Hera meanwhile seem to encourage their spread for some weird reason 👀
hehehe finders keepers!!
quite brilliant actually! was wondering howd shed spawn her kids if shes the planet personified and thought of something; you know how the horizon is said to be where the sky meets the earth? and how the earth and sea are inherently connected? boom pontus and ouranos.
also ig much like the primordials the titans just come into existence? since the sky and earth meet and theyre just that? like gaia lives and breathes as the earth in all its aspects, the way the sky (atmosphere) has levels that are all different and so 12 titans are all some variation of their parents. (same goes for sea dieties)
now titans are much more physical so to speak and not purely embodiments of the elements. closer to humans almost. anyways. monsters being the result of disturbances in the parents at time of 'conception' (yk like earth in its early geological periods was messy and unstable all that jazz?)
and thats how u get for example a fiery hestia (volcanic active time period), lush demeter (rich vegetation) so on and so forth, whereas monsters are like when one or both of the parties combine entropy or sum to make... monsters. lol u get the idea
--
eons later tis the olympian age and monsters are starting to appear again (climate change anyone?) and the olympians are concerned... for themselves mostly not so much their expendable subjects. why is their grandmother awake and what tf is she doing cranking out new pests for them to deal with?
hera in her idgaf era bless her perhaps sees what the creatures for what they are; manifestations of all that is wrong with the world, gaias pain and agony and the affect of man made and divine shenaniganary. perhaps she feels compassion?
or she simply doesnt care. everything shes ever wanted to be a part of has been stripped away from her. her autonomy, her place among the gods (she ditched), her domains/ areas of interest. does she want to see the olympians fall? does she want to see them suffer? or does she not care about them either. unfaithful husband and children/ step children not worth her time.
she will watch the world burn before her, watch as everything is reduced to nothing the same she was, patiently awaiting the right time afterwhich she will rebuild the world on the ashes (beside her father?) and this time, this time shes getting her own way...
