         One of the last of Master Lukes students and trained by Battle Master Kyle Katarn. Jaden was a high commodity in the war efforts propaganda. A powerful force user, Jaden’s natural neutral affinity had made him a threat to be meddled with. But with Rey, he saw a fountain of potential that surpassed even Master Kuke at his best day.

The last thing that Ben Solo expected was for a knock at his door at this time of day. He was about to get some sleep so he could be to work in the morning. He had meetings most of the day with Snoke, a man who he’d become close with when it came to work but who his family didn’t like. There was nothing that would change Ben’s mind on who he wanted to work with but his family had expectations that he was expected to live up to and achieve. With an irritated sigh he walked to his door and opened it, finding the last person he expected standing there with a kid.

“Rey,” he stated dryly as he stood in the door. “What are you doing here? Who’s this?” he asked as he pointed to the smaller human. He wasn’t sure what to think though he could see a resemblance to himself. Ben wasn’t going to jump to conclusions just yet but seeing her there with a child brought back all the pain and hurt from three years ago when she left without even a goodbye. He wrapped one his arms around his middle as the other rested against the door as his brown eyes watched the woman.

Truth be told, Hux couldn’t understand how Ren had lost to such a slight young woman. How she could ever have been a threat, he’d never know.  Either way, she was a Force user, and he bristled at the idea she could skim through his mind, could really do whatever she damned well pleased. The thought alone made him sneer at her as he allowed himself to be manhandled into what he assumed must have passed for an interrogation room. Lips pursed into a thin line, he took a reluctant seat.  Like he’d talk.

“Between you and me, this place isn’t so bad.” Except for the fact that the First Order had Stormtroopers and officers in every corner. At least Eron didn’t stick out like a sore thumb in the crowd; he couldn’t say the same for Rey. “We just gotta be really careful before they recognize us. Get what we came here for and then leave.”

“Still at it?” he questioned softly having walked away while she had done saber control techniques. “You’re more dedicated than i was.”

He’d returned with Rey instead of staying with the First Order but he didn’t feel at peace with the decision either. Like he did with First Order and Snoke, Kylo felt as if he had to be only one way and that wasn’t something he was sure he could do no matter how much he wanted to. But he was trying and this was at least a little better than what his life had been like with Snoke. Nothing was going to be perfect, he’d learned that a long time ago and now he knew that he would have to make peace with whatever place he had with the Resistance. Ben knew that his mother had wanted him back but he’d done some terrible things and he’d killed her husband. The guilt was something that he would always have live with but he didn’t think it was something he could ever forgive himself for. 

Pushing that from his mind Ben watched the other’s, sipping from the water he’d grabbed from the kitchens. Everyone seemed happy and he wondered what that was like but that was another thing he would have to leave as nothing more than a thought. He didn’t want to be caught lingering or watching so he turned to go outside, where no one would pay him any mind and would allow him to have some peace and at least pretend like he had a place here. The planet was just another planet, like other’s he’d seen but it was nice to be on, less cold with open spaces for him to be able to just find peace in.
