So, I recently started taking an herbal supplement or adaptogen called āRhodiola Roseaā recommended by a good friend.
-āThe body adapt to and resist physical, chemical, and environmental stress.ā
-Sexual function (which is just great because Iām not currently sleeping with anyone š).
-Strengthing the nervous system
Sounds too good to be true, huh? Thatās what I thought too at first. The first night I took it was a work night, and I thought it was just a placebo effect - but I felt calmer, elevated, and focused. I felt like my blood was flowing a little more ācorrectlyā inside of me. Iāve been taking it everyday since. (Mostly once a day, and only sometimes twice a day, unfortunately a lot of natural supplements do not have enough āscientificā data to back up long-term usage).
Iāve also never been properly diagnosed for anxiety, depression, or anything of the like. Iāve never really taken any kind of behavior medication, so I have no idea what it feels like to be truly altered in that state.
I do possess an overall stress to my daily life. Often times a stress I cannot shake, especially when it comes to the extremely emotionally draining and demanding job of a sever. So this root has been my best friend for about the last month. I didnāt even really completely notice a change within me until one afternoon when I had forgotten to take it and I was already halfway to work and I thought I had left my bottle at home. However, it ended up being in my purse and when I realized this, I was instantly calmed and relieved - thus realizing the supplement was definitely working/effecting me.
It has definitely and most certainly heightened my libido. (Help! Haha). Which is a super positive thing for me because often times (and in past relationships) my anxieties and slight depression most certainly effect my sex drive. But Iām practically foaming at the mouth.
10/10 recommend to anyone with mild/acute depression or anxiety who may be seeking an alternate ārootā to traditional meds. Or anyone interested in skyrocketing their sex drive and improving cognitive function.
