The handler was still catching his breath, sword going back into its saya, confident the stranger’s fire had erase any trace of the creatures they just came across. For someone constantly surrounded by supernatural beings, it had been a while since he got randomly attacked. The street looked barely disturbed, except for the slight smell of ash, that the evening breeze was cleansing, he doubt the creatures got killed, but the fire cut their urge to prey on Greaves, partly thanks to the woman standing before him.

   “Thank you for the help.“He said with a polite nod of the head, before fixing his tie and put his bag back on his shoulder, biting his tongue to calm the urge to ask her what she was. The handler had learned that asking a creature’s species, could be offensive, thus showing gratitude should come before introduction whether the supernatural being intended to help or not. Nine out of ten time he was dismissed, they simply never intended to save him, he was just lucky. How many times would that be true, he would probably never know.
