Chewing doll

For those who don't know, in I think the 90s, there was a Cabbage Patch doll where it would "really chew food!" it um. got recalled because it was eating kids' hair and fingers. So of course, I had to draw Hermey making it lol

“Sir Muko, what should I do with this? ” 

A soft voice cut thoughts of Muko sitting beside a young girl, smiling so sweetly towards the girl. He pointed his nail towards the paper and spoke in his gentle voice, “Here is where you identify which plant it is; just put the answer underneath the image.” 

“Sounds easy enough.” She nodded her head in understanding, picking up her pen beside her as she began to write down her answer. Muko watched her paper, seeing the blank page slowly being filled up with answers. 

He couldn't help but smile softly, a soft bell ringing as the door opened. A man entered wearing a green apron, and with his gloved hands stained with dirt, the young girl lifted her head. Seeing the familiar figure, she called out to him, “Hello, Dad,” before resuming her task.“Hello, Herby,” Muko greeted the man called Herby.

“Mnn…” he hummed in return as he took his glove off, walking towards his daughter. He glanced down at the paper she was working on. “What are you doing? ” 

“Oh, she wants to start our lesson about the plant.” Muko replied to him with a soft smile, herby glancing at Muko before back at his daughter, seeing the answer underneath the image: “... Is that so? ...That's Gardenia ”

he pointed out. His finger pointed at an image of a plant, which made the young girl huff at her father's intrusion. “Dad, I can answer them.” Herby couldn't help but let out a ghostly smile before gently ruffling her hair. “My bad. Good luck then.”

 He watches as his daughter smooths out her hair before returning to answering the paper. Herby looked at Muko and nudged his head to the entrance, asking for a talk just the two of them. Muko gently got up, smoothing out his clothes as he smiled“call me once you're done.”

He followed along with Herby once they were out of earshot from basil. “Thank you, muko,” he muttered quietly, his arm crossing over his chest, glancing towards his daughter. “Even though you're doing this for free… at least let me repay you.”

 Muko raised an eyebrow towards Herby as he chuckled, “You're very stubborn; it's my choice to do it for free. But… since you insist, very well, the least you could do me a favor.”

 “Take care of yourself,” he smiled softly at her, who only looked at him silently. Having been friends when they were just young, even if they have drifted apart at some point, Muko still cares for him. 

“That's… kind of cliché,” he murmured, which made Muko laugh softly. “Hahaha! Is it? ” “Sir Muko,” a girl’s voice called out to him. Making Muko look over and see basil looking at them, he smiled at her and looked back at herby, saying,

“Would you kindly help me check her work? After all, you're the expert one.” Muko muttered the last part in a playful voice. Making herby smirked slightly before shrugging his shoulder. 

“Sure…” Both walked towards basil as they sat down on each side of her, the sounds of chattering echoing in the shop. As the days continue.
