Herdis. Bonjour, darling. How are you?
[Falls into step beside her] Tears are worthless little things.
[Pounds on the door, gasping for breath] Herdis?
herdisofthor replied to your post: How does it feel to be alone, Mr. Stark?
You’re alone? Since when?
[Shrugs] Beats me.
Farewell to the son, brother and friend.
For over a week now, Thor's mind, body and soul have been brewing in a never ending storm of woe and rage. He masked it well, often trying to be amongst his friends and companions, but nothing seemed to be working properly. The longer he waited, it worsened.
Having Natasha suggest it was time to move on and proceed with their final goodbyes, Thor agreed to this action. He had nothing to look forward to by it, but he hoped that saying goodbye would finally put his soul at rest. On and off during the weeks when he couldn't sleep, he would leave the cabin and continue working on a wooden boat large enough to hold his son's body.
In highly decorated reliefs, the vessel reflected that of the old Norse ways, knots interlinking with one another, the symbol of the seas spread across it. He'd never be satisfied with it, but he ended his work once every inch of it was covered in detail to honor the falled prince.
In meeting with the family and any friends who had wished to be apart of this at the coast of the Atlantic, Thor set his son's broken body overtop the dry stack of foliage, then knelt down bowed for a moment in silent prayer as the rest of the family gathered to say their piece.
