i’m going to start off with a disclaimer that my hc’s do not align with the general fanon interpretation of dabi when it comes to his sexuality / desirability.  so i don’t sound like a broken record this is just me now saying this is for  my interpretation of dabi  and other ppl can do whatever they want.

i’ll start off by saying that i see him as aromantic and demisexual.  this is the case for all of his verses.  so what does this mean in regards to this muse,  since we all know that sexuality is a spectrum and it can mean different things for different people.

aromantic:  for him it means that he does not feel any desire to be in a romantic relationship with others but that lack of romanticism does not automatically make it impossible for him to be with someone.  in canon i do not really see him ever being in any sort of committed relationship  but in an au there is some more leeway on that stance.  he’s not going to be the perfect boyfriend,  he’s not about romantic displays of affection,  or anything like that but he does have the capacity to recognize another persons desire to be with him and reciprocate something back.  a partner in an au would have to recognize and accept that though,  otherwise it would never work.  and even then,  it’s still a matter of if he would find the other person someone  worth his time  in the first place.  he’s kind of always a dick.

demisexual:  in canon i will say this is closer to asexual than not,  as i do not think he has any sex drive or desire to speak of.  in au’s it’s as demisexuality is described though not due to romantic closeness but some form of closeness that aside.  unless he has some sort of bond  /  laid foundation with another person he’s not out fucking is what i’m saying though.  if he does end up having attraction towards someone then he has no problem being sexual and even desiring it without prompting from his partner.

he has no preference for gender when it comes to partners and i think that mainly just comes from the fact he’s not interested at all.

DABI DOES NOT FUCK.

          what do i mean by that? 

he’s not interested.  there are times where he might say something that comes across with a sexual undertone or could be misconstrued as such but it does not mean he is going to act on it.  it’s simply that he enjoys messing with people and some are more bothered or flustered by that sort of talk.

the man is not only a frankenstein’s monster of body parts but he has no feeling.  if you’ve seen the cap i’m talking about you know that literally his entire outer body was burned away well past 3rd degree.  we also know in canon that he doesn’t feel pain,  which i would argue based on having my own 3rd degree burns there’s just no feeling at all vs. only being “no pain”.  the damage to his nerves is irreparable.  if he doesn’t have feeling across all his body then why would he only have feeling in his dick?  to me it doesn’t make sense.  so he doesn’t.  and therefore doesn’t / can’t get aroused through any sort of stimulation etc.  what would it take to get him to that point,  one might ask?  it isn’t something he cares about so he’s not about to spend time figuring it out.  so that’s that.

i’ve thought about the most he would do for someone in canon verse if he was somehow able to build a very loose dynamic  ( not to be confused with a romantic or committed relationship because it never would be )  and all i can come up with is that at best he’ll use his hands with them.  and this is me pushing this into a  “i highly doubt but if i had to consider it and give an answer”  extreme avenue of considering.

so overall i think what i would just say is don’t expect it because i just doesn’t fit the portrayal for me.

tldr;  he doesn’t fuck and he’s extremely difficult to ship with.
