i'm too shy to comment on ao3 but you're one of my favorite writers and i love when i refresh the kate/anthony tag and see that you've updated. it makes my day. i pulled off of the highway and parked on a side street to read chapter 6 of love doesn't burn.

Oh this is just about the sweetest ask I've gotten. It means everything that I can make more than just my own day when I update! And also don't be shy imma fuckin comedian in the comments. ur gonna be the one cringing at ME for being too much lol.

The thought of someone stopping their car esp for Love Doesn't Burn--maybe somethin to get me through finishing the damn thing.

I wrote in the notes that I would update today but with the show release I am sooo distracted thinking about show canon engagement fic. I also don't wanna update ch 8 or 9 and then take two or three weeks off from updating bc shall we say...that would be a terrible stopping point. we will be zoinksing very soon i fear.

Anyway. Lets see where my show muse takes me and once chapter 12 is properly underway I will start updating again!

If I Can’t Be Yours // NxTouko

People teemed throughout Nimbasa Park along with their faithful Pokemon guides. Children cried out in joy and thrill-seekers cried as the coasters they road on dipped and looped, with summer in full-swing everyone seemed to be taking a trip to Nimbasa to take it easy and relax in the entertainment capital of the world.

N pulled his cap over his eyes and sighed to himself. He had no idea what he was doing here, he hated being around so many people at once; he could barely tolerate Team Plasma when that was a thing. Team Plasma… N closed his eyes as the sun’s rays warmed him comfortably, his mind slide back further into the past. It seemed like eons ago when he first met Touko here in Nimbasa City. As cliché as it was, he knew there was something different about her as soon as he saw her…

Her Pokemon were different, they all loved her and looked to her for guidance; and she showed the same affection for them. They worked together as a team, despite everything N had been told up to this point in his entire life, this human and her Pokemon functioned first and foremost as a family. Her Pokemon looked to her for guidance, they trusted her with their lives and she didn’t take their trust for granted. They battled perfectly, and he was astounded to see just how tenacious they were, the vibe Touko had given off already put him on edge; when it was put into action he could see that she was different from anyone he had ever met.

He would never forget the look he earned after he revealed he was the leader of the now defunct Team Plasma…

The sun was beginning to seep in-between his eyelids, with a start he realized he had fallen asleep! Muttering to himself, he quickly got up and stretched, careful to avoid getting in anyone’s way. Lazily and without much direction, N began to amble through the park. People and their Pokemon played happily together, enjoying the attractions Nimbasa had to offer. Though their owners couldn’t, N could understand every word the Pokemon were saying. Just like Touko said a long time ago, “Some Pokemon love their trainers, and their trainers love them just as much. Do you really think such a concept is impossible N?”

Those words quietly eroded his long-held beliefs, her words haunted him every waking moment until finally he realized that she was right.

And now here he was, wondering without a goal in sight. She came into his life, destroyed his beliefs and left. As the sun set behind him, N found himself in front of the Rondez-View Ferris Wheel. It twinkled in the twilight as couples inside the booths cuddled in the purple sky above. It was the only exclusive ride in Nimbasa, barring anyone who wanted to ride it alone, “couples only” a neon-sign flickered obnoxiously right next to the ticket master.

The sensation of being stared at prickled against N’s skin, as discreetly as he could he scanned the crowd around him and felt his heart drop into his guts. A familiar pair of steel-cold blue eyes cut through the crowd and forced themselves against his green eyes, realization set in and N barely managed to mouth her name.

“Touko?”

                      of course everyone is out fighting the evil and he’s stuck with a sleeping baby. not that he complains. his niece a beautiful one. with a book in his hands he sits next to her nursery. silence. something unknown for the wolf. it’s been quite some time now. counts seconds till she awakes. waiting. wanting to hold her.

Peeta stood in front of the fire place in District 7 ( or rather on the outskirts, Jo lived far in the forest and honestly, the former tribute could not say he blamed her ) facing Jo. she had been sitting in silence on her couch for some time now, a mug of coffee in her hands untouched. She'd asked him to make it after admitting there was something she wanted to talk about-- and the drink, much like the topic, had been untouched since. 

     ❝I'm not exactly in a hurry, Jo, but are you okay?❞

His brows were furrowed as he moved to sit next to her on the couch. She seemed a little green around the edges and he wasn't entirely sure why. He'd come to visit not long after he'd returned to District 12. Being home had been. . . it had been different when he was finally released from the doctor's care. But maybe not different enough, even with the construction and clean up underway. And with everything they'd gone through, Jo was the natural choice to seek out.
