writing prompts- 60) things you said when you burst into the bathroom while I was taking a shower
“We have a case!”
“Sherlock!” John yells, turning his back to him in a vain attempt to hide, “For God’s sake, I’m showering!” He waits for the sound of the door closing again which never comes, and sighs, “I heard you, can you just let me finish?!”
No answer. “Sherlock?”
For a moment, John is certain Sherlock left without another word, probably running off to the Yard and expecting him to follow right behind. With another sigh, he turns the water off and turns back around.
“For God’s sake, Sherlock!” He yells once more, one hand on his now pounding heart and the other clutching at the shower curtain. “What are you still doing here?!”
Then, under John’s surprised eyes, Sherlock Holmes starts to blush. Just a flush on his neck that reaches his cheeks, and John can only stare. He’s very much aware of his own nakedness and Sherlock’s fully dressed body. He’s also very much aware of Sherlock’s eyes roaming all over him despite the curtain, and his lips slightly parted, as if he’s suddenly finding it hard to breath.
“Sherlock?” John tries again, a little unsure this time.
Sherlock’s eyes dart up to find his. None of them dare to move. This is ridiculous, John thinks. I’m naked and Sherlock is right here, and fuck, how many times did I fantasied about this again?
“I-” Sherlock begins before clearing his throat. “I’ll wait for you in the- in the kitchen.”
He turns before John can say anything, and leaves the room. John remains still for another second, trying to take in what just happened, and finally reaches for his towel.
Oh no, Sherlock Holmes. You can’t just burst in there, act like this and just expect me to just forget it happened.
With his heart still pounding and a growing hope building inside him, John opens the door and heads for the kitchen.
