Actor/Actress Meme: Robert Downey Jr.
the first thing I saw them in: Let's go with Heart and Souls. I actually have no idea what was the first time I saw him because I have been watching his movies since I have been watching movies, pretty much. Mom has been a fan for a long time. So it was probably one of his early 90's roles.
why I like them: Part of it is the fact that I have been watching him practically my whole life, but I just think he is a really talented actor and it's nice to see that sometimes people can manage to overcome their problems, even in Hollywood.
my favorite role of theirs: Either Chaplin or Tony Stark. I love Charlie Chaplin's movies and that is such a great performance. But I also really like longetivity, which is why I tend to prefer TV actors/characters, so I really love watching Tony's development over the Marvel Cinema Universe. Also, Tony is entertaining as hell.
my least favorite role of theirs: Let's go with Kirk Lazarus from Tropic Thunder. Y'know, sometimes I'm so white and privileged that it took me until very recently to really get how awful it is that there was a mainstream movie with a prominent actor in blackface. I saw TT in theaters and I thought it was very funny but now, the whole blackface thing makes me uncomfortable.
a role I’d like to see them in: I think I'd like him to do TV? I don't really know, but I really loved his Larry Paul in Ally McBeal and I would really love to see him 13-22 weeks a year.
who I’d like them to work with: Edward Norton is one of my other favorite movie actors and I would have loved to have seen them together in The Avengers but since that didn't happen, I still would love to see them do something together.
