The First One

Its the first post. The one that either sticks or does not. I’ve never been into blogging before, but here I am. Writing this down anyways. I’ve always had a tumblr. Always been a tumblr girl as G-Easy would say. But I needed a new start. One where nobody knows who I am. One that can be limitless. So here it goes. Time to truly write what I feel.

Train rides on the N train with my headphones on, the sleepless nights at my friend's basement in Brooklyn writing pages and pages of lyrics that never made it anywhere, the anxiety, the bad whiskey, the wandering aimlessly around NYC and late night car drives in Miami; the sound of rain as it lifts the pretichor off the ground, the soccer games with friends and the fear that I'll face my whole life as I continue to put my most honest self inside my songs. The romantic hope that lyrics and sound can transcend reality and that for a moment just about anyone can inhabit the world conjured by a composition. The titles you see in this picture are more than just references, they are the compilation, the combination and the sublimation of everything and everyone I've ever seen or felt or done. This new album is full of verb and love. It's honest and it is the product a lot of hard work and dedication. And I'm proud of it all. And I can't wait to share it with all you alI. I swear I don’t wait, watching the clock. I watch life dissolve, but I guess it’s okay,  I just tell myself, it’ll all go away.
