ty for the kind words 🥹 im assuming ur asking about arden since thats the only oc i've posted on this acc!! but he's my current self-insert/RPG OC insert that i kinda just use everywhere now! so his bg story kinda differs between games but generally he's neutral good alignment! their appearance stays relatively the same tho (tan skin & ashy blonde/brown hair w/ green eyes) just differing hair lengths depending on the story setting :] (here's one of the earlier drawings i've done of them!)

i do have other ocs i just. dont post or really talk about but i can share a few here ! here's quincy, my pookie blorbo since like highschool... i've been working on a comic for him (very slowly) but you can find a few pages on my main page here -> yay

but below is a little sketch from one of the later pages that i was going to finish but.. might now anymore... haha.....

one day i will. have his story out. its been a long time dream of mine to give this guy a long-running series but i wanna do him justice so i keep restarting HAHA. but he's basically a classic teen -> turned superhero story (like magical girls but with a sci-fi/superhero flavoring) since those were the type of stories i grew up with!

here's another little doodle of another oc, which is. technically in the same universe as quincy but a fictional character within his universe! he's a knight infected by dark magic & becomes a spy amongst warring kingdoms :] the short haired guy is the knight commander of the kingdom he's spying on! they got something going on but u didnt hear that from me. but you can learn a little more abt him thru this half-finished game i made :] -> game

these are probably more of my long-term ocs but i do have a bunch for various dnd sessions and just for fun stuff!

ive been doing okay! been away at a convention for the past few days and its been tiring but super fulfilling ☺️

and i did end up going through a few!!!! loveeed rabbit starvation, the vibes are so immaculate and i love me the dead but comes back wrong trope so it was super up my alley — started oath and sinners but didn’t make it too far before i had to leave but im excited to get back into it when im back!!! i don’t think it was on your reccs but i did also play lightweavers since i was craving a little academia type of setting

Your writing is so delectable I love the way you weave such human emotion within each piece like it all just feels so earnest,, it feels so strongly. Anyways I am doing the kneeling knight pose rn absolutely incredible writing I am in awe. An inspiration for someone like me who loves to write and wants to make time for it again. I hope it’s ok that I’m rambling,, I wouldn’t wanna clog up your ask box but I just wanted to actually drop in and say that your writing is something really special :)

an invitation to talk about something I’m currently obsessed with?

I’m currently in the trenches rn for the ballad of songbirds and snakes because after a year I finally found some time to start reading it again! I really enjoy doing literary analysis in a lot of what I read and I just have to say how absolutely wonderful this book is. All the characters feel so fascinating and as much as I love to hate him, Coriolanus is one of my favorite written characters of all time. Guy who forces us to consider if evil is something you’re born with or if it’s learned or if it’s a secret third thing (that it’s both at the same time). Guy who is in the perfect situation to sympathize with the districts and the tributes because he has also suffered at the hands of the Capitol’s cruelty, who has the perfect opportunity to choose good and chooses to be selfish every time. The way that Suzanne Collins includes philosophy as well and incorporates each ideology of fundamental human nature in the different characters that mean most to Coriolanus so we can see how they influence him and how what he chooses to believe in shapes him as a character. I’m sinking my teeth in him he’s my favorite chew toy. The layers that Suzanne Collins incorporates in this book makes me so happy because I love how ambiguous Lucy Gray and Coriolanus’ relationship is and the mystery of Lucy Gray’s ending and its parallel to the poem she’s named after. I’m foaming at the mouth but yea, I really enjoyed it if you couldn’t tell LOL. Recommended for sure :)

Honestly I keep forgetting about it and then remembering it again xD it FEELS completely bonkers but also the showrunner for this is gonna be the same guy who showran Infinity Train, which was apparently pretty good? So I’m keeping an eye on it like 👀

I remember reading Educated in ninth grade for a book club in English class and literally being breathless because of how incredible of a process it was. I devoured it and read it twice in one go because there was so much to be said about Tara’s journey and I remember wanting to talk about it with others so badly. Unfortunately my book club wasn’t nearly as enthusiastic and my English teacher told me I was talking too much so I shelved that part of my life aside and forgot about it after some time. Seeing that you read it and really enjoyed it is deeply satisfying and it makes me want to go back and reread it again! Thank you for the reminder of what a special book this is :)

IT IS SO GOOD, I am legit gonna borrow a physical copy from a library to reread it as opposed to listening to the audiobook again!!! I am so sorry you had that experience - especially since the book points out the importance of encouraging people to learn how to think for themselves through books. Your teacher should have been elated that you've internalized that message so well. I hope you enjoy your reread as much as you enjoyed your first read!! :D
